How it all began

The football forum first started life in November 2002 when Craig Goulding set about establishing a new online football community. Aided with the assistance of Rocky the two set about building a community of fans from all parts of the country and indeed the globe.

How TFF Looked in 2002 & 2003

The forum grew from strength to strength and within a year and a half had already accumulated 500,000 posts. By 2005 this figure went beyond the 1 million post mark and in 2006 it hit 2 million.

Today the forum has over 2.5 million posts and its members database continues to rise close to the 20,000 mark. A dedicated team of nearly 40 admin and moderators ensure that the original ethics of a independently run and funded football forum remain true till this current day. Nodoby makes any financial gain from TFF and despite some dizzy offers to sell the forum it remains in the same ownership as day one.

The Changing Face of The Football Forum

TFF has seen several face lifts in its time, having used different forum software the board has evolved to its current state thanks to the hard work of the admin's and moderators who all give their time for free.

TFF in 2004, 2005 & 2007

The forum currently averages 2,000 posts a day and can get in excess of 1.5m hits per month. It is uniquely funded by its members for its members. TFF is proud to be independent and will continue to be regarded as one of the best football forums on the net. Tech Specs

The forum runs on a dedicated windows based server and was one of the first to run on Invision Powers unique MS-SQL drivers. The forum is continually cared for and maintained by TomF and the folks at Clik Limited who are unfortunate to suffer the life of being Bristol City fans. Clik are big supporters of independent football forums having hosted both Bristol clubs forums for close to 10 years. They also work closely with Invision Power and are proud that TFF is used as a showcase board by Invision.
