Yeah agree with that and I actually said we're not running up debt. In fact I've saved this year so it's all good. I plan to go to a rave I know its going to be a good time. Some people think its strange because you're going that far just for a night out but it's obviously more than that.

That's pretty hardcore! Was it a good one though? I've not been to westfest. I was looking at it a couple of years ago but we never did it.

@Tommy yeah I wouldn't worry to much about Berghain the first time you're in Berlin.

The queues are only really bad between 12-5am apparently and that's because all of the tourists are trying to get in. We went at 8am and there wasn't a queue. The party was going on until 2am Monday so we didn't miss much and most of the main guys seem to play Sunday anyway.

Door policy is strict but they are mainly looking for people who are there to dance. Big groups of boys and girls tend to get turned away. Especially those dressed up like a normal night in town apparently. I heard splitting down into small 1's and 2's is good.

As it used to be a gay club, and still is really they want to get the crowd right and it obviously works. I love the no camera rule.

We got turned away once but it was the 3rd of January and it had been going on since the 1st. It was only open for those who'd already been in. Annoying as Klock was playing at 5pm.

As I said not worth the hassle the first time you go but if you fall out of tresor at 9am and want to carry on then it's worth a try.

Haha, I didn't mean you specifically when I mentioned getting into debt.

Yeah, that West Fest was class actually. Totally worth it. There aren't enough nights doing hardcore and drum n bass, in my opinion. Was especially annoying a few NYEs ago. Four of us went down to Brum and we split up...two of us went to a hardcore night and the other two went to a drum n bass night, both put on by Slammin' Vinyl in separate venues.

Can't find the full tune on Youtube, but this is probably my favourite hardcore tune of the last five years...

9:05 on this one...

I saw a breakdancing competition yesterday when I was at a graffiti festival. Pretty amazing really and I wish I could express myself like that.

Went to see Ed Rush after and he played a nice dnb set. The resident "DJ X" was excellent though.

Any G-house fans on here?

Going to see Amine Edge and Dance at the 02 in Sheffield in a couple of weeks and can't wait. Saw them at Sankeys in Ibiza this summer and it was absolutely class. Can't convince many of my mates to get onboard with g-house though, seems very hate it or love it.

  No probs, it's hard to come across as it's far from the mainstream house that makes it on all the radio stations/podcasts.

I've not listened to the ammocast mix's so I'll definitely give that a go.

My favorite is this by far though, https://soundcloud.c...mine-edge-dance for the first 4 minutes it's pretty mainstream (in comparison) and then it drops into it. Love it.

I thought I was just into the happy, easy listening stuff but I absolutely love abit of this. It's filth. Dirty house.

I have no idea how good it is but I enjoyed it. Always enjoy new stuff.

I'll download that mix and have a listen tomorrow. Reminds me a little of stanton warriors but obviously with the house undertones.

Have this to warm you up. I came across DJ Unknown while looking on another forum for a few tracks I can pull out. No idea if he's any good but I am going to listen to it anyway.

Luna C on the remix there, actually like that one.

I am just going to spread this out over a week actually! I'll post a couple a day if I can. Might be fun :) (I have a strange idea of fun sometimes)

Ha! I love it, albeit in concept more than execution. Intersection of low brow & avant garde in dance musics #95802458. Somewhere a bloke who writes for Wire magazine is penning a 5,000 piece on this for his blog; referencing Lacan, Tantric sex, Lacan again, the impossibility of hedonism viz John Stuart Mill and so on.

Bit of a geeky question but what Media Player are you all using on your computer?

I've used WMP and Gom Audio. I do like GOM Audio but it's quite basic so I would like a change and I am not a fan of WMP/Itunes.

Love Drum and Bass.

Really liking all the stuff Ulterior motive have put out lately.

New foreign concept EP on critical is decent - The Volks being a particular highlight.

Mark System - Optix. Still doesn't have a release as far as I know. (Just checked its coming out on Exit :) )

Dispatch and metalheadz have had some good stuff out as always. Loads of stuff out to be fair but depends what sort of Drum and Bass you like.

I posted a tune at the start of this page that I love and there is a beautiful tune called Runaway by Calibre Feat :Fox out at some point if its not already.
