Yeah that's sad to hear, I love this tune:

I've been in Prague over the last two weeks and went to two nights while I was there.

We went to Cross Club which is probably one of the coolest venues I have been too due to the crazy designs they have inside and outside. We went to a Drum and Bass night and it was hard from the second we got in there until the end. The crowd were loving it and it was only 11 pm, we had a great time and met some really cool people who were happy to chat. Really recommend going there, we'd love to go to one of the psy trance nights that they host.

Then the next night we went to the trance classics night that I have been talking about over the last few months. This was in a much bigger venue and at first I wasn't to sure on the party itself. They had lots of commercial stuff on sale, a diamond and golden VIP area and some strange place where you could get photos in front of a screen. They also had a massive screen behind the DJ's that would sometimes advertise some brand of vodka etc.

Still everything else was great, I pretty much heard all the classics that I could think of and most of the sets were excellent. Rank1 played a lot of obvious classics like "Silence" and "Airwave" I personally thought Kai Tracid's set was the best one of the night. Again the crowd was great and we made friends with a Austrian woman who sorted us out with some pills that must have also came from '99 which was great. :)

It was Nicolas first trance night after saying that she wasn't really keen on that type of music at all but she had a great time and was smiling all the way through. It's not what I'd listen to at home anymore really but you cant beat a Trance party and the crowds are always excellent.

So yeah we had a great time and Prague is a good City to spend time in we plan to go back in the near future. We have CLR and Drumcode nights coming up which will be pure Techno so looking forward to that. :)

Yeah we got tickets. :)

CLR was pretty great last night and worth all the flying and lack of sleep. Rodhad was amazing and made it seem effortless but Rebekah disappointing this time. Really boring and predictable with flat bass without melody and then huge bass drop after a few minutes then repeat. Not what I was expecting as she was great last time I saw her.

I've just found out that Liebing played the last four hours and Rebekah moved to the second room.

Chris Liebing said it took him 90 minutes to get into his groove and so Rebekah moved to the second room to play her set so he could play for another two hours.

Pretty annoyed really as we couldn't make out who was playing from at the back and had I known I wouldn't have stuck it out. I kept thinking that Rebekah was just drunk or something it was that bad and it wasn't even her.

Speaking of Drumcode, the new Alan Fitzpatrick EP is awful. I must admit I've really moved away from that Drumcode sound in the last year anyway but this EP is really bad.

On the flip side Rodhads remix of Monolocs newest tune on CLR is pretty damn good. Everything he touches at the moment turns to gold.

I was contacted by Rebekah who offered me free tickets to go to Jaded in London when she plays next month to make up for the mix up at ADE, pretty good of her really. :)

Love this one and the whole release is great.

Adam X's album is sounding so dark and good too. Also some stuff from Extra Dry & Tom, lots of good techno stuff that I found tonight.

Dark progressive psy trance set here:

https://soundcloud.c...ta-dense-matter

I remember being sat on the hill at Boom at night having this woman playing some absolutely sick music on a ridiculous sound system back in the summer. Good memories. I'd not really listened to much Progressive Psy until then so it was a real eye opener. It's alleged that I was also on LSD so that might have made it even better.

Drumcode at the weekend was great. I didn't actually see anyone from Drumcode but Paul Woolford, Scuba, Max Cooper and Len Faki were all pretty damn good. Having a break now until the end of the month. :)

Went to Room237 last night, the first guys played pretty boring stepy stuff but Mike Denhart played a really good set to save the night, worth seeing him if you like techno.

Tribe of frog tonight, he's not playing but listening to this E-clip set. Love him.

Ostgut ton tonight. Dettmann, Parasole(sp) and Ryan Elliot. :) Going to try and get to another psy trance night tomorrow but we'll see.

Cor you've got a decent appetite for going out haven't you!

Room 237 was really good when I went but was in its infancy, no cloakroom in the middle of Winter wasn't great especially as it was f*cking boiling inside - Surgeon's playing there again tonight, lovely residency to have. I find the novelty wore off with Tribe but very nice vibe everyone's there for the right reasons and the people are all very nice. Did you get to the Ostgut night at Motion last Easter? Great lineup but during uni holidays so was half empty, Dettmann finishing with the lights coming on was a moment and Ryan Elliott killed it as per. Enjoy the Hydra they've made some good changes to the place since I first went!

Yeah I didn't know but it says here that it started out in Leeds. http://www.residenta...ent.aspx?410424

One of the few promoters in Bristol that put on techno nights that appeal to me. Is it a woman that runs them SOC?

Harry are you based in Bristol then? I didn't make it to Motion as I was away which was annoying really. I heard it was a good one though although Motion is probably one of our least favorite venues. I would love to see Lakota putting more techno nights on.

Last night was really good. Dettmann was solid as you'd expect but I think Ryan Elliot stole the show for me. He closed the last 2.5 hours and was really good. He was the one I knew least about prior to tonight and I didn't know what to expect from him.

Both Hydra nights I've been to have been really good. The venue is decent and the door staff just leave you too it which means it feels quite relaxed. Bar Prices are a bit of a rip off even by London standards. Selling 330ml beer for £4.50! Its the same stuff they were selling at Boom and that only cost 2 there.

Not sure I'm going to get Nicola out tonigh though as she's pretty hanging lol. Going to see Klock and Recondite next week which will round off the year nicely! I've always loved Klock and hoped he was going to be playing the Hydra night. Recondite has released some lovely stuff this year so I couldn't resist.

Yep started in Leeds. Ran for quite a long time there. I remember I went to a Room 237 night for the first time in about 2005 and they were drawing decent crowds by then. It might have even going before I got to Leeds in 2003 for all I know.

Wasn't started by a woman, but perhaps its changed hands. It was started by two guys, kind of almost as two separate, but occasionally interweaving, entities. A techno side and a live performance side...aka bands. A guy called Marcus who djs under the name P45 would sort out all the techno bookings and a guy called Jimmy would book all their bands. There'd be nights that were strictly techno/dj based in clubs and then other nights that were just band gigs at venues. They'd do a lot of crossover stuff, too. So, you'd get a night with Battles or some band that had prominent elements of electronic music playing on the same bill as Clark with a live drummer or something. Jimmy still lives in Leeds, as far as I'm aware, and still puts bands on under the Room 237 name. Looks like just the techno side has moved to Bristol.
