Thats a point, what has Ryder said will happen with Mickys mega money contract? Ripped up and re-negotiated, or is he staying on the same money?

I was never surprised or all that disappointed when Adams left us for Sheff Utd. However, with his reported hefty salary and the fact we are looking at a new era under the leadership and ownership of someone who actually has some sort of business sense I would be both surprised and extremely disappointed if he left us for another League 2 side

Obviously stand to be made to look rather foolish saying this but if Adams were to have gone I think he'd have done it by now rather than when we are on the brink of coming out of admin. Not that I'd be particularly sorry if he left though I've stated my opinion on him before. Does seem strange Gillingham haven't appointed a manager yet and even Scally has said he's not in any rush when he must have had about 5 or 6 weeks by now to sort it?

I assume that it has to be honoured now. If the administrators had believed it to be too large to cover during the administration period then I guess that it would have been them who would have made him redundant

Going off what Ryder said when he was announced as preferred bidder, he is quite happy with Adams to remain as manager. In fact if i remember rightly he said " it wouldn't be the end of the world for Adams if we didn't get promoted next season, although he'd be obviously disappointed", or something along those lines?

So going off that i suppose Ryder is happy with Adams & his contract.

The deputy editor of the local rag has just tweeted something regarding Vale and 'golden years being just around the corner' that will be reported in their paper tomorrow. I would imagine that any announcement confirming KR's takeover would be done via a press conference so not sure what that will be all about

Sounds promising though I always take whats tweeted by anyone from the Sentinel with a pinch of salt after the "signing coup" a few weeks back that turned out to be Rob Taylor agreeing a new contract.

I'd imagine the local media would get the nudge from KR or the admins though. Just having a club that's not a complete laughing stock to the rest of football would be a nice start.

All contracts now signed between Ryder and the administrators and just a case of the FL and FA rubber stamping the deal :)

Very good news, once the "fit and proper" test is rubber stamped should be all set. That should be a formality given the way Miller and Deakin seemed to have no problem with it.

One of the first ports of call should be a new shirt sponsor and a new kit manufacturer (please not Vandanel).

As time is ticking, particularly with new sponsor and new kits, I imagine a swift announcement of both of these as kits sales are obviously a big part of summer income for football clubs

Great news for us. I think the players report back in Monday aswell? Soon as the FL get everything rubber stamped, (hopefully early next week) we can get some players in at last. So go on Ryder, spend, spend, spend, spend like you've never spent before? Just kidding. :D

Hoped to have had this sorted by the time I got back from Australia, but looks close now, hope we can get a few top signings in now before pre-season gets into full swing and we can push on, some good names linked with us at least.

The Vale reporter from the Sentinel has tweeted that there is big news for Vale fans in the paper tomorrow. This could be it hopefully. Nice timing if so as the players are back in to start pre-season training tomorrow.

Knowing our luck though it will end up being fucking Tomlinson has agreed a new deal.

Well he would be the most valuable player on the field (for the opposition). Looks like Rupert Paddington Gomez will be honouring Vale with his presence at pre-season training tomorrow so could end up being him. Wouldn't be the first time the Sentinel have pulled a stunt like this.

It's been a case of the press reading into a club statement incorrectly - a club statement that is a requirement of the FL rubber-stamping the deal

Can Ryder pay the creditors yet? If he can who says he hasn't? Know one knows what the delay is at the moment unless your in the loop?

Edit: I see the FL site as removed their confirmation statement now aswell.

Just to confirm, PVFC are still in admin.

Spoke to BT (admin co) and FL; things still to be sorted hopefully not too far away.

Tell the new man to pay the debts!! Yes it's sad that the new guy pays old co's debts BUT that's the rules!!

I'll be sure to tell him next time I see him...

I fail to see what the issue is here. We're well aware football debts get paid in full and have no issue with that, it is the FL which is holding things up. Once they get off the Golf course and actually find the time to confirm KR then it will be dealt with.

The FL are off the golf course, and have been since the conference. What they need is money and action.
Pay the debts and get the "golden share" and we'll all be happy. Then you can sign the new players.

Why isn't this happening?

The hold up from the football league regarding Ryder was nothing to do with the debts ect that will be paid once he is able to when the FL pass him, the issue that delayed it was a contract about the use of Vale Park for football which the council and Ryder took time to agree on as he wants to develop on the land (whilst still using it for football) from what I gather to make Vale a 7 day a week profit making club I suppose.

Far as we are aware there is no issue regarding outstanding debts from Ryder that was all covered in the take over and will be ready to go, I am not sure what we are meant to owe Accrington Stanley FC anyway as we have not done any player business with them ever that I know off?

As for signing players if we want to agree deals with players again there is no issue with that, they cant play nor be contracted to the club until administration is exited but if they are happy to wait for that and agree to join then surely that is fair enough.

Any debt to Accrington would likely be for tickets sold for our away game there in advance. As you say there isn't a club we owe any fees to for transfers etc apart from Rangers for the loan of Andy Little.

It's a moot point anyway as all football debts are secured, unless you go completely bust, which just isn't going to happen.

It's odd the accy chap is so worried about it.
