Let me guess, you've never played those sides before in the first round of the League Cup?

I don't care who we get, it's basically a pre-season friendly.

It will be the first time ever we've played Oldham Athletic Away in the 1st round of the League Cup.

The last time we played Oldham in the League Cup was back in 2000/01 in the 2nd round when we won 8-2 on Aggregate...5-1 at Home and 3-1 Away.

We've now changed our game with Hartlepool to Saturday 11th August. Good decision by the club judging by how crowded the fixture list is in the first few months of the season.

League Cup on a Saturday?? F*ck that, it's messing with tradition man. Not going to either game now, Hartlepool or Leeds vs Shrewsbury like I planned. I'm staging a round 1 boycott until it is restored to it's original place, Tuesday night, under the lights.

I'm surprised that Wednesday are on TV, no offence to them of course, it's just that Oldham vs Wednesday was a league game last season and not THAT appealing. Thought Fleetwood - Forest would be on instead, oh well! Football is back and that's what matters.

No - we played Liverpool last season in the 2nd round.

The first round was too complex, seeded and regionalised. Next season they will add that it will be alphabetically seeded aswell.
