Sweden are already out, we're already through. Need to secure top spot though in order to avoid Spain...

Technically France could go out with a Ukraine win/England Ukraine draw and a heavy defeat to Sweden... but I won't bank on it.

I'll stick my neck out and say a 1-1 draw. Ribery to net one the first if he starts.

If Ukraine win and France lose heavier than England then yes we might go out. But I can't see neither the Swedes beating us nor the Ukrainians doing the English. If England vs Ukraine ends in a draw will we qualify no matter what as we'd be equal on points with Ukraine who we have beat.

I have to back Benzema to break his duck here - he's been threatening to all tournament. Also reckon Cabaye will get on the score sheet again, he was a key figure last time out.

Koscielny needs to play. Rami and Mexes have been poor.

I watched about a ten minute period after the Rooney goal. They were poor in that very small sample size.

Disappointing performance but we shall rally to defeat the Spanish - we're going to win this thing!

I suspect Italy will be pleased with this result...they'd probably rather play us than France.

This was Frances first defeat in how many games? Didn't I see that Spurs were interested in Blanc? Could that have something to do with tonight?

Stunning goal by Ibra though!

Anyone else but Mexes would have blocked that fucker to be fair, it would have deflected off Paolo Cannavaro's Godly thighs and all the way across the field into the France net is all I'm saying

 The golden, all beating French losing their 22 match unbeaten run to a Sweden that are already out? We top the group despite everybody saying we didn't have a cat in hell's chance of going through??

We're f*cking England, our heart beats this sport and we're taking it back. Continue writing all the negatives, all the criticisms, it's about time we did this, like it or lump it.

Not sure if you're being sarcastic or not, but come on, that's simply not true. You and France were obviously the favourites to progress despite most people expecting a slightly better Sweden than the one we saw here.

You'd be surprised. The rest of the nation expected us to go out in the groups, we may have been expected to go through by the rest of Europe but the feeling over here was very negative, even by the press!

I see. Well I think most non-English fans will agree with me when I say it wouldn't have been a shock if you had been knocked out, but it's not such a big surprise you finished top either. You struggled but won against Sweden and did a professional job against Ukraine, which is pretty much what I expected you to do. I thought France would beat you but you did well there. Fair play, you have a decent chance against Italy now, I am just a bit surprised at what I feel are some over the top comments!

One draw against Ukraine or England (and we were in the lead in both games) and we'd be through. Happy days.

Absolutely sensational goal. Ibrahimovic showing just how good he is when he turns it on. He's had 3 decent games, just let down by the team behind him.

French fans still showing immense amount of confidence, verging on arrogance, that they are going to win this tournament, yes they're a decent side but that defence is poor. Spain will teach them a lesson (Very glad we have avoided them!)

It seems to be a trend that the Swede's think they didn't deserve to lose against England. Fair enough the Walcott goal was a fluke, but then, what about the Johnson own goal? That was a massive fluke too. Beyond that, we forced two point blank saves from the Swedish keeper, while the closes to that that Hart had to deal with was a long range effort from Ibra.

Thinking about it, perhaps he meant the fans deserved better from their team in the first two games. In which case he might be right.

Or maybe he's just deluded. We were shit for 135 minutes, and were decent for 45, and good for 90. That won't get you through the group.
