Balotelli (who will never walk alone) is well shit and Hart is overrated. Or are they?

This thread is to follow the exploits of everyones favourite pyrotechnic expert and shampoo salesman.

Balotelli has started 3 games for Nice this season and scored 4 times. Doubling his Liverpool tally thanks to a pair of braces, one against Monaco in a 4-0 romp and another in a tight 3-2 win over Marseille. He also featured in the 1-0 loss to Schalke in which Chelsea exile Baba Rahman got the goal for the Germans.
He was rested against Nancy. So far a good start.

Hart had a nightmare start in his first match for Torino dropping a clanger which resulted in a goal and his new side succumbing to a 2-1 defeat.
Since then though he has conceded just 1 goal in 3 matches, with that being a Totti penalty, so he's kept a couple of clean sheets and seems to have put that 'mare debut to bed.

This thread will be updated as the season goes on to see how well the pair do and if Balotellis shortcomings were Klopps and if Pep was wrong about that guy with the great hair!

Is anyone else worthy of watching? Previous season possibilities would have been the likes of Pogba, Ravel Morrison and the incredible Colin Kazim-Richards!

Jay Bothroyd has got 12 in 18 for Jubilo Iwata in the J-League. Banged them in last season too, asmittedly in their second tier. Top scorer in the divison apparently.

Nasri updates are a good idea. Cuad, Marin and Holtby more flirted with being premier league footballers so I'll pass on them and Skrtel has gone to the European retirement league so probably only worth a mention if he does something special. Like gets himself pregnant.
Chicharito would have been great for this last season but I think he's answered any critics.
Nasri being given the number 10 shirt means he'll be getting a lot of gametime. So far he's played 3 and scored 1, unfortunately just a consolation. Sevilla still can't win away.

Oh, I thought it was players deemed not good enough.

Sometimes it just doesn't work for a player in England, it doesn't mean they are always awful players. Crespo for example was a great player but just couldn't adapt when he came to the PL.

While he didn't live up to to the heights expected, always thought Crespo got/gets a raw deal in the eyes of Prem yesteryear. Thought he was a good player over here, and it was only his injury in the season prior to joining Chelsea that held him back from being better.

Yep he was superb at Milan. Perhaps they got him just when he was on the way down. It happens.

Must have been the case, as he was never the same player after that. Think he had a knee problem iirc.

It was such a shame to see a striker of his ilk decline, he went from the most feared striker of a decade to the whole world desperate for him to just score a goal. Bit like Torres, just on a slightly less embarrassing spell.

Although not PL we could also track Oliver Burke at RB Leipzig.
No. He does not fulfil the criteria.

***NOTE TO ALL***

PLEASE DO NOT MENTION OLIVER BURKE IN THIS THREAD

THANK YOU

Nasri is doing well for himself with Sevilla and got himself the MOTM in their 1-0 win over Lyon and now Sevilla are apparently already asking to make the deal permanent. Balague reckons he's been their best player so far this season.

Balotelli has also scored in the Europa league tonight though he had to be substituted at half time.

Another member of the exiles club is Mangala who joined Valencia. He's started their last 4 matches, 2 wins, 2 loss, 0 clean sheets. Though given they conceded 4 in their first game of the season before he arrived it's fair to say they have alot of work to do across the whole back line.
Quick mention that Pato seems to be reviving his career at Celta Vigo. Regular starter up front with Sansone, scored a few though missed a pen.

Not quite yet, he's just turned 27 so he's still got time to make waves.

Isn't Pato at Villareal?

Two Liverpool exiles currently in Lisbon together at Sporting, one former and one on loan, Seb Coates & Lazar Markovic. Both got on the scoresheet v Vitoria Guimaraes at the weekend.

Coates was basically wank for both us & Sunderland (in no small part due to his sprints being measured in aeons), but is enjoying something of a career renaissance in Portugal and has scored 3 times in 7 league games so far this season.

Markovic was seen as a youngster with huge potential but he's taken the #3 shirt at Sporting and therefore is fully deserving of exile at the very least.

Former Fulham mercurial man Bryan Ruiz is also at Sporting too.

As is Joel Campbell, but nobody gives a fuck about those guys so on with an update.

Joe Harts Torino got another win to make it 5 on the bounce, and although he didn't keep a clean sheet he did make a number of good saves during the match and ouldn't do much about Babacars free header.

Samir Nasri was by all accounts having a decent game until he was substituted in the 58th minute, presumably due to injury as Sevilla were well on top at that stage and went on to win 2-0.

Mario Balotelli had an odd one. He scored a late winner vs Lorient (86th minute) and actually celebrated!!! Unfortunately he celebrated by removing his shirt which got him a yellow which was later added to after a bit of a nothing confrontation with Lorient defender Moreira in the 92nd minute which the ref saw fit to brandish cards for both players and Balotelli got himself a very harsh sending off.

Noteworthy: Longtime Liverpool exile Iago Aspas scored against Barca in Celta Vigos 4-3 win over Barca. He seems to do pretty well against the Catalans.

Yeah I said in the Spanish thread that you know you are having an off day when Aspas scores against you!

Tbf to him I think he's score in the last two or three games against them - obviously playing a team that suits him strangely.
