Normally we're the last ones to release our new kit which tends to be about a week before the season starts, however the powers that be seem to have got their act together and this years extremely disappointing effort was announced at the end of season awards do last night.

To put things in to context, we've been sponsored by Wirral Borough Council since I was I born 25 years ago.  It's the longest sponsorship in English football and there's not been a Tranmere shirt in my lifetime that hasn't the place I'm from emblazoned across the front.  Obviously recent cut backs and the reduction of the councils budget has resulted in the sponsorship coming to an end.  As disappointing as I am with this, it doesn't seem fair that there's been redundancies in the public sector when the council continue to fork out 100 grand a year sponsoring the local football team.  It's also not a huge amount in terms of sponsorship deals and maybe with a bit more investment we might have scraped a top 6 finish this season.

The part which is disappointing is the new shirt sponsor.......

Home Bargains!

Home-Bargains-Tranmere.jpg

Quite appropriate considering the bargain basement look of it! I'm sure it's gonna do wonders for shirt sales this season!

Any other teams next season shirts been announced yet?

Tranmere's away kit looks like a Scunthorpe kit, not keen on either. Nice Cherries away strip, simple and black means less work to keep it clean.

Home Bargains?

Tranmere's away kit is vile, almost as bad as our away one this year, Bournemouth's is ok nice touch with the custom silver badges.

Couldn't they have found two better looking blokes than old Crabbe & Goyle as well? Probably two of the most gormless Nigels I've seen in my life.

Fingers crossed we maintain the dreamy line-up of Bart, Sheehan and Liddle - WOOF!.

I'd assume as Bournemouths new away shirt is pure black, their new home shirts won't be red and black.

Here is our new home kit:

New-Crewe-Alex-Kit-2013-2014.jpg

We pretty much do what England do, make a minor change and call it new. We've ditched the collar, made it a simple white curve neck and its now a chequered design. Not too bad I suppose.

We've yet to release our new away kit, its supposed to be blue.

Home shirts are staying the same, we have our cream 3rd strip too, so there is no issue.

They're both as bad as each other!  The away shirt the colours don't match with the Home Bargains logo and the home shirt with blue sleeves would look more at home in Martin Allens wardrobe!

Bournemouth away shirt looks mint, proof that FILA can actually make nice shirts.  Why can't we have one like that?!

We always do a gay kit unveiling in the Summer so you'll all have to patiently wait for what the Notts think-tank dream up for our always tasteful away strips.

Bit harsh

But true

We used to have a good goalkeepers as well, Ravenbish! We didn't let it get to our heads.

Ever since you signed Bart Bowlcanski, Notts County fans have turned into Swindon.

All that money Ritchie earns and he can't afford a decent haircut.

I hope we ditch our current kits. We look like a shit Arsenal/good Fleetwood in our current kit but that's what you get with using Nike as a lower league side. I d quite like Barnsley's current kit though and wouldn't be too upset with us using it.

Barnsley-2012-Shirt.jpg

I hope we stick it in the window of the Samsung store at Westfield again. All the tourists faces were a picture when they thought it was Chelsea and got closer and either looked disappointed or confused.

I wish we still had Marshall sponsoring us like on our 2004/2005, 2005/2006, 2006/2007 (pictured), and 2007/2008 kits. That was a cool sponsor...as sponsors go.

The irony that Ravenbish said the only thing Carlisle have is the shirt sponsor.  The only thing Notts have is some average looking, half decent goalkeeper. :fish:

I know he "was ill" but the Notts Goalkeeper is one of the worst keepers I've ever seen at FL level, subbed at half time at Brentford

Home Bargains, oh dear. Ours is orate, just glad we no longer have the disgusting Mornflake Oats logo and they redesigned. That was hideous on our kits.

Wish we could have shirts that looked like our late 90's earlier 00's.

HE WAS FUCKING ILL YOU BASTARD, PHYSICALLY ILL. PUKING GUTS AND MISSED THE NEXT GAME, THE MAN IS A WARRIOR FOR EVEN ATTEMPTING TO PLAY, A FUCKING WARRIOR.

ahem....anyway, we're also the Oldest Professional Club in the WORLD, Were responsible for the colours of the biggest club in Italy, we won the Anglo-Italian Cup, the 1894 FA Cup (and it was stolen that year so we are still the rightful holders of the original FA Cup).

A rich history compared to all of you urchins who lack a handsome Polish goalkeeper.

We are wearing our new kit this weekend against Scunthorpe United. According to Karl Robinson, it has a 'Paul Weller' look to it.

I have absolutely no idea what that means. I guess we are the mods.

my guess is something on a cycling theme (Adan Faiers inspired, no doubt) with big red circle on it like a mod target.

However with most of our fanbase it'll look more Mick Talbot than Paul Weller :)

I have an high school girl affection towards him, purely for the fact that he kept us up there with his beautiful wing play. You know how it is, with your romance towards that mediocre Bart Kapowski.

Except Bart is a well-known respected member of the community and nothing but gracious and humble to all those that are fortunate enough to share his company even for the slightest of moments.

I also note your implication that he is in some way related to Saved By The Bell temptress Kelly Kapowski, which although unlikely, seems plausible given their achievements in the looks department. (Her in the early 90's obviously, not now)

I'll choose to ignore the jovial 'mediocre' comment given the fact that Swindon haven't been able to score past him in nearly 200 minutes of action. He laughs every time he hears the name 'Swindon', 'har har, thows stupids Swindons idiots, theys couldnts scores past me, ifs we were playings till All Saints' Day' (Disclaimer - I'm well aware Polish people don't talk like Meerkats)

This is why you'll receive your funniest membe crown for the second year in a row.

I'm guessing you have Bialkowski bed sheets and rugs?

You gotta admit, even a sub 40 Kelly Kapowski has got to be worth a pork even if she's a prune right now, for old times same and the claim to fame.

Don't even tempt me to think of a Swindon vs notts county game lasting days, would be a 120 hour bore draw, more painful that an episode of X factor whilst getting a back rub off Freddy Krueger. With that accent he sounds more like a movie villain, I fear he may tie Gary Roberts to train tracks shouting try scoring against this.
