Crystal Palace star reveals his next destination
October 9, 2025 3:53 pm Leave your thoughtsCrystal Palace wantaway star Eberechi Eze has reportedly informed his friends what his next destination amid reports linking him to Arsenal, Chelsea, and Bayern Munich.
The winger has been a subject of transfer for multiple windows now, and it seems he will eventually get his move before the end of the summer transfer window.
A report is now claiming that the 27-year-old has already given his word to his close friends that he will be joining another Premier League team when he leaves Selhurst Park.
Eze secretly confirms the next club
Eberechi Eze has reportedly confided in close friends about his preferred destination ahead of a potential summer move, with Arsenal, Chelsea, and Bayern Munich all vying for his signature.
The winger had a memorable 2024/25 season for Crystal Palace. He went ahead to score 14 goals and provide 11 assists last term. One of the standout moments for him during the season was the match-winning goal against Manchester City, sealing the club’s first-ever major honour.
It’s no shock that the 27-year-old forward has caught the attention of several elite European clubs after delivering a standout campaign. Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich, who signed Michael Olise from Palace last summer, are also reportedly interested.
Meanwhile, TBR football is now reporting that Eze has privately told friends he will be joining Arsenal this summer.
The Gunners, after a slow start in the transfer window, have kicked into top gear with the likes of Christian Norgaard, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi, and Noni Madueke arriving at the Emirates. Meanwhile, Viktor Gyökeres is also set to arrive in North London.
The fans have been showing interest in the Arsenal tickets based on the summer transfer business done so far.
Pundits confirm Eze’s situation
Journalist Ben Jacobs has confirmed on Market Madness podcast. He was speaking on the subject in early July, and it seems the latest update has confirmed that.
“I need to bring you some good news, and thankfully I can. Eberechi Eze is keen on a move to Arsenal. Over the weekend, a key meeting took place between the Eze camp and Arsenal, attended by senior recruitment and football figures. We’re not talking just about interest, that meeting was about terms. Eze is already aware what Arsenal are prepared to pay and how they see him,” Jacobs explained.
“The answer to the second part of that question is that they view him as an attacking midfielder. So we’re talking about Eze, plus a left winger, and that will allow Arsenal to be very busy in the next few weeks, because the number nine is coming as well. The left wing is quite interesting, because if Arsenal are going to go for a Rordygo or an Anthony Gordon, they’re starting left wingers.
“So you might find that Arsenal become more inclined to sell a Gabriel Martinelli or even Leandro Trossard, even though at the moment, they’re holding quite positive talks about a renewal for Trossard. But Eze is separate from the case of finding a left winger. He’s viewed as an attacking midfielder, and he liked that pitch, as you would expect, because it’s his preferred position.”
Jacobs affirmed at the time that the Gunners were considering moving for the 27-year-old. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano also confirmed the interest.
“Arsenal now are determining whether to go to Crystal Palace. They know if they do, they’ve got player buy-in, and then it will all be about the negotiation. Because Arsenal, I’m told at the moment, are not thinking about triggering the £68m release clause. They prefer a different kind of deal. With Martin Zubimendi, they decided to go a bit higher than his release clause to secure a more preferable payment structure.
“With Eze, my sense is more that Arsenal may go below the release clause and try and do something around the £55m-£60m mark, and we wait and see whether Crystal Palace are prepared to entertain that. It’s quite a complicated release clause as well, in terms of how it’s triggered.
It was the same with Michael Olise. But that’s kind of getting ahead of ourselves a little bit, because right now the situation is that Eze is keen on Arsenal. Arsenal are keen on Eze. They’re not just talking broadly. They’re starting to get into some of the financials and Crystal Palace are aware of this. But as of now, there’s no bid or club-to-club negotiation, but that could obviously change very quickly.”
Woody Johnson purchases stake at Palace
New York Jets owner Woody Johnson has now been confirmed as the new owner of Crystal Palace, and he has also been confirmed as a new director.
He said upon being made official: “I am honoured and privileged to be joining the ownership group of Crystal Palace Football Club. It is an organisation with a proud history, tradition, and deep roots in English football in South London, which I came to admire during my time as U.S. Ambassador to the United Kingdom.
“Eagles fans have demonstrated extraordinary loyalty, passion, and unwavering dedication and I am excited to meet and get to know them. I have great respect for Steve Parish and the leadership he has provided over the years. I look forward to working with him and the entire ownership group to build on the club’s recent successes and help shape an exciting future for Crystal Palace. This is more than an investment – it’s a commitment to realising the vision for the club, the community, and the culture around Selhurst Park.”
Mosquera on not letting an opportunity pass him by
New Arsenal signing Cristhian Mosquera said he could sense the stature of Arsenal the moment he put pen to paper, describing the chance to join the club as one he couldn’t afford to pass up.
“It means a lot to me,” he said in his first interview. “There’s been a lot of hard work behind all of this.
“It’s an opportunity that came up and I couldn’t let it pass me by. I’m joining a historic, massive club. When you arrive here with your family, you really feel the greatness of this place.”
