It's Hazard.

No idea how Coutinho is nominated (as I said in the Coutinho thread). He has two teammates more deserving than himself and likely another dozen candidates across the league who weren't nominated. Fabregas, Silva, Cazorla, Gylfi, and Eriksen have all had better seasons playing in a similar position. Özil has contributed more in half the games. Massive disservice to Jordan Henderson.

Can you put Hazard on the poll options. I'm deeply unhappy about this.

Who do you think Phillipe will vote for? Will he be able to escape Le Coq's pocket in time to place his vote?

Coutinho looks so out of place next to the rest of those names.

Hazard should probably just pip Sanchez to this.

Then why don't you vote for effin Coquellin then. Coutinho has been fantastic this year for the majority of the season - far better than Ozil/Coquellin/Walcott and the chosen one Wilshere. ;)

Sanchez has been the more consistent player throughout the season and his statistics are better in fewer games, but Hazard will win because Chelsea have/will win the league.

Coutinho amongst that list is a complete joke.

A really weak year for individuals, there hasn't been a standout player in the league. Sanchez was easily the best player in the league for a few months and Harry Kane has been for the second half of the season, but Hazard has been the only consistently great player this year. Even then, I think he could have been better...

Well, I guess De Gea has been too, but doubt they'll give it to a keeper.

Countinho doesn't deserve to be there for two months of form, would easily have Fabregas over him given his incredible output over the first half of the year. I think John Terry deserves consideration too, as much as it pains me to say.

Coutinho being added was probably due to the fact Rodgers bugged him up after a few wonder goals. Other than that I can't think he's achieved much.

Ben Foster has kept more clean sheets than De Gea.

Just saying.

Should be De Gea he's had the biggest impact for his team by a fair margin

Lad has 4 goals and 4 assists in 30 matches and doesn't play defense. Henderson should be livid that Coutinho has been nominated before him. Ditto Sterling.

All three have been excellent, Brodge may have said it to rile up Sterling and Hendo as well though with the contract situation of both up in the air currently. Coutinho has been excellent though and he and Markovic I think will progress further again next season.

Coutinho has been good, not excellent, and for a couple of months, not throughout the entire season. There are several midfielders alone who could and should have been selected over him.

Fabregas has been far better than Coutinho, just saying. It's embarrassing he hasn't been nominated, Hazard will win so it doesn't really matter.

So Coutinho (at worst) has been the sixth best player in the league this season? :conf:

Certainly not the last four or five months Fabregas hasn't - his form has plummeted off a cliff like it always does.

You genuinely think Coutinho is more deserving of a POTY nomination than Fabregas?

That's what the media told you?

He's not been as good that's obvious looking at his stats but he's still maintained a very good level of performance.

You just can't compare Coutinho and Fabregas, anyone with any knowledge of the game knows Fabregas has had a better season.

Even if Coutinho has been marginally better in the past few months (I don't necessarily agree), he's never come close to reaching the levels Fabregas demonstrated for the first half of this season. Cesc at 19 for Arsenal was performing better than Coutinho ever has in his professional career. They're not in the same discussion.

I think you could seriously argue Mata has had a better season than Coutinho, and neither belong anywhere near this award.

Hazard and Kane.

I don't think anyone is saying Coutinho is a bad player...he's world class at times, we've only seen that a on a handful of occasions this season though.

Have voted for Hazard. I don't watch a lot of Premier League but when I see him play, great player.
Makes things happen and is a constant threat at a consistent level.
