Who would have believed at the start of the season this would be a nothing game for the right reasons?

Don't agree that this is a nothing game. I think form heading into the play offs is important. If Sheff U finish the season without a win in 5, they could really struggle to get past their semi final opponent whoever it may be. Also, if I were you 2, I would want to finish 5th and play Swindon, who are in much worse form than MK Dons/PNE. I think there is plenty to play for, but could also understand why both managers would rest players and not care about the result.

In my mind it was a 'good' season if we weren't already relegated and Sheff U couldn't send us down on the last day. Going into it almost as equals means we've surpassed even my highest expectations. It'd worry me a little if we went into the playoffs without a win in 3 (and if we don't score) but I'd understand Cookie (or indeed his caretaker ;) ) resting players to avoid sendings off ....

The actual statistics about clubs in the POs point to no correlation between recent form going into them and actually winning the final.

In fact, if anything, those teams out of sorts do better.

I couldn't care less who we get in the playoffs so this is just a party game/day for me. Still not sure how to work the pacman-mayweather into this session of a day.

I did initially want MK Dons, but the way they are playing at the moment I don't fancy it. I'd prefer an out of sorts Swindon. On the flip side though I'd rather not risk injury to key players going into the playoffs. Tough to know how to play it

Best thing about this game is that we don't have to give the Blunts a guard of honour on to the pitch, like i feared before a ball had been kicked.

Nice little bank holiday Sheffield sesh planned though.

Oh, and £29.00 for us exiles for a nowt match...i spat my cornflakes all over the iPad this morning reading that.

Can't really justify the cost of getting to this game from Durham + match ticket with it being pretty much a dead rubber. Saving the pennies to come home on election day!

This is like the game with us against Swindon - a few weeks before anticipated to be a massive decider, but when it gets round to it, a nothing game.

Anyway - probably a draw.

That's going to be hard work with what I guess will be a 4am start. Especially as you lot are away.

Our ground is 10 minutes drive from my home, and I'm struggling to bother with the boxing.

Will more than likely be a draw, we are good at them :)

Hopefully though a confidence boosting win ahead of playoffs with no injuries or suspension. Should be a cracking game and day.

It should keep me awake anyway, going to my brothers house in York for Mayweather fight so be a 10am drive back to Sheffield !

Yep. I'm likely to be at a rave in Rotherham until 4am Monday morning watching Duke Dumont and friends so I think I will need "assistance" to get me through the day.

I honestly thought a 'rave' in Rotherham would have seen Showaddywaddy and Black Lace on the bill?

500 of 4300 left for a game with no real meaning
Don't know about that, I'm sure a vast percentage of both sets of supporters would much rather face us in the play offs than Preston/MK?
