We're unlikely to sack our manager first this time, just cos he's not been here that long yet. He might resign, though. :D

Way too early for this, but because I'm bored I'll try a top 7 in no particular order.
PORTSMOUTH, PLYMOUTH, EXETER, LUTON, CRAWLEY, HARTLEPOOL, YEOVIL
like last close season my teams boss, Darrell Clarke is re signing players, and taking his time, last season I had a go at predicting the top 5 in the conference and I left the Gas out then for the same reason, but no one on the league two forum seems to be mentioning us anyway, which is good of course, we could become with the right signings, the dark horses in this league, though consolidation is the main thing for me.

The team that surprises us all and does very well?
Accrington, given their budget and attendances it never ceases to impress me that they comfortably stay up. Not so sure about this season though.
The team that starts off great but then falters as the season progresses?
Luton pulled a proper bottle job last season.
The team that will be up there all season then mess it up right at the end?
I hope Luton bottle it again, although it would be nice to have their shit nothing rumours on the League 1 forum instead.
The team that will be fighting against relegation when they really shouldn't be?
Got to be Orient looking at things at the moment.
The team that will be first to sack their manager?
Cambridge.
The team that will pretty much dominate the league for the full season?
If anyone was to do this it would be Portsmouth.
The most hated team in the league?
Getting a bit fed up of Luton tbh so them.
The team that plays the best football?
Exeter last season were pretty good.
That team who just seems to have been mediocre all season, stuck in mid table?
Wimbledon.

My oh my just look at all this hate
how on earth did you get in this state?
what has Luton done to attract such criticism
maybe some of you show signs of envy and jealousism .
is it our fans who often seem loud
its only because they're noisier than your less exuberant crowd
a lot of you owe Luton fans a grateful hand
for helping to help fill up an otherwise empty stand
so come on guys give Luton a break
everyone knows there's a lot at stake
so why don't we try and just get along?
I think there's mutual respect , but have I got it wrong?

This speculative table may give some pause for thought before suggesting that Luton will start well then fade. Barnet, Luton Bristol and Crawley look to have a potentially tough August and early Sept. What would be the odds on a Hartlepool/Wycombe/Cambridge top 3 going into September?

https://experimental361.files.wordpress.com/2015/06/l2-e361-final.png

For what it's worth, my nominations would be:
The team that surprises us all and does very well? Based on the early odds it would have been us and Pools. As we are no longer dark horses, I'd go with Hartlepool to flirt with play-offs and finish top half - especially if they get new owners willing to think longer term.
The team that starts off great but then falters as the season progresses?

I can see Bristol hitting the ground running, despite tough opening fixtures. However there are plenty of potential off pitch distractions, including interest in pinching their manager.
The team that will be up there all season then mess it up right at the end?
Portsmouth to drop to the play-offs
The team that will be fighting against relegation when they really shouldn't be?
Could easily be be Orient.
The team that will be first to sack their manager?
I think D&R's hand may be forced by Xmas - sacking or resignation
The team that will pretty much dominate the league for the full season?
In my dreams, Cambridge - but it won't happen. There'll be 5 or 6 up there until March, when Portsmouth (and us if we're up there) will succumb to distractions.
The most hated team in the league?
Hate has no place in L2 but I think Wycombe and Ainsworth will get found out, to the delight of many. Who am I kidding? Luton will find a new way to wind us up.
The team that plays the best football?
Exeter
That team who just seems to have been mediocre all season, stuck in mid table?
Northampton

I know it's all opinions but I'd be amazed if we sacked Burnett. 99% of the fan base wanted him gone at Christmas last year and he stayed.

I understand (and remember) - but how bad a start would you need for a mutual decision to part? Also, I know nothing on these prediction things, I just let the imagination roll and follow the vibe.

The team that surprises us all and does very well?
Barnet. John Akinde has always had talent but never been settled in the football league. Having seen him first hand for Dagenham, he can be a handful and I think he'll score a load. Kevin Lisbie will chip in with quite a few also and I see them troubling the play off positions.

The team that starts off great but then falters as the season progresses?
Morecambe seem to do this quite alot. I think Cambridge could start quite well and then just slip back to mid table this time.

The team that will be up there all season then mess it up right at the end?
Northampton

The team that will be fighting against relegation when they really shouldn't be?
I think Orient will go better than some think. Carlisle could struggle again.

The team that will be first to sack their manager?
County is a good shout. Possibly Newport if Butcher does as bad as I expect.

The team that will pretty much dominate the league for the full season?
Pompey

The most hated team in the league?
Crawley

The team that plays the best football?
Exeter

That team who just seems to have been mediocre all season, stuck in mid table?
I think Wycombe will have an average mid table campaign this time.

No idea really. There must be a snapping point but I think it would have to be at the miracle to stay up stage before we sacked him. Not knocking you for your opinion by the way, we're all entitled to one.

Can I choose 3? Thank you sir. Crawley, Yeovil and Orient
The team that will be first to sack their manager?
Orient
The team that will pretty much dominate the league for the full season
Luton
The most hated team in the league?
In general Luton but not me. Hate is a strong word but I dislike Orient and, for some strange reason, Oxford :dk:
The team that plays the best football?
The 4 sides I was impressed with last year were all promoted to L1, so no one in particular. However, a lot of U's were impressed by Exeter, but I can't comment as I missed both games

Nice that people are mentioning Hartlepool... We were truly awful last year, the worst in living memory, we need to improve 10 fold to become mid table.... I can't see us being anywhere near the bottom, we have moved mountains to get a decent first 11, but as everyone knows it's a squad game so if I was a betting man I'd concentrate on Plymouth and Portsmouth

Oh please - his administration sold the club something like 25 years ago. Did we even play you in the 1980s or early 1990s? This is getting boring now. Do you hate the club or the people who post on here?

I heard a whisper that UKIP are head hunting him - to replace Farage, aiming to boost the NO vote in the referendum.

Nothing against the people who post on here.

The question was "most hated". There are a number of candidates:
Crawley - plastic
Stevenage - see Crawley
Portsmouth - multiple admins
Accrington - Coleman/Bell/cloggers.

However, once having a chairman whose tongue was firmly wedged in Margaret Thatcher's sphincter still wins.
