Dynamic weather systems, especially in open world games. Love driving around in GTA at night while it's absolutely pissing it down. Sleeping Dogs' world is beautiful after it has been raining.

Boss Battles. A lot of games these days have done away with traditional boss battles and it's a shame to see.

What are yours?

It was great in Rainbow Six Vegas 2.
I love kitting my character out in any game, I hate to look the same as everyone else.

Boss battles is definitely up there.

Fatalities. They seem to get more ridiculous/hilarious after each game.

Free games from PSN. Loving Rocket League at the moment!

Realistic breast movement.

Particularly big breasts and bouncing.

I enjoy boss battles the most and games with plenty of gore.

Beautiful settings. Skyrim is still my favourite game when it comes to that. Remember playing it for the first time and walking under the northern lights.

Also when games have meaningful consequences, like Suicide Mission in Mass Effect 2.

When mini games are there, but optional. Such as gwent and triple triad, or even blitzball.

I'd question how optional either of those two actually are in reality.

Can't think of too many 1FF mini-games I've actually enjoyed playing. They're usually another grinding excercise or are too dynamic for the game engine.

I thought the Chocobo Hot and Cold mini-game in FF9 was brilliant, but then everything about that game was brilliant.

Kweh!

Blitzball was like one or two matches near the start, and I never touched it again after that.
Triple Triad was optional wasn't it? Maybe I'm forgetting something

I really got into blitzball. Built myself a pretty decent team by the end.

Triple Triad is technically optional, but card synthesis is by far and away the least time-consuming way to collect magic so the game actually punishes you for not playing it.

My problem with the mandatory Blitzball section of FFX is how fucking drawn out it is. There are massive, boring, drawn-out gaps between games, and most of those intermissions involve running around trying to find Yuna and fighting piss-easy random battles.

oh and i thought blitzball as a mini game was ok btw. certainly more fun than a turn-based game of submerged water polo had any right to be.
