Kingfield Stadium - Woking FC

How Easy Was The Ground to Get To (from the station, by car, etc)

When driving to the ground you'll likely come from the M25, going anti-clockwise come off at Junction 11 and follow the A320 south to Woking, going clockwise come off at Junction 10 and follow the A317 north. Both routes are well signposted from the motorway onwards, follow signs to Woking and once near Woking follow signs to the Leisure Centre which is located next to the ground.

The train station is roughly a mile north of the ground, next to the town centre. It's roughly a 15 minute walk to the ground, turn right out of the south side of the station onto Station Approach, continue straight ahead passing the Court on your left. Follow this road down until you reach Constitution Hill, turn left into the park, take the first path on the right and this takes you to the ground via the Leisure Centre Car Park.

If Applicable, How is Parking Near The Ground?
There is a large free car park at the leisure centre which is the best option, there is also limited street parking nearby, and large car parks in the town centre followed by a walk down to the ground.

Based on Where You Were Sat, How Was the View?
The quality of the day out for away fans depends largely on segregation, for larger followings and FA Cup matches the ground is usually segregated with away fans given the Chris Lane Terrace down the side of the ground and a few hundred seats in the corner of the LGS behind the goal. The Terrace is open and shallow so unsurprisingly doesn't have a great view, while the LGS offers excellent views at the top of the stand albeit at an angle. The best view of the pitch in general is from the LGS.

If You Ate at The Ground, How Would You Rate the Food?
The food in the ground isn't great, and is quite expensive. The best bet is in behind the LGS which does the usual fare, burgers, fish and chips etc, which while fairly costly is of a good quality in comparison to the vans around the ground (and in the away end when segregated).

How Was The Atmosphere At The Ground, From Both Sets of Supporters? Does the Stadium Hold the Noise?
The atmosphere varies greatly but these days is usually fairly quiet. Tends to be better for midweek and local/important games and can be excellent on its day as the KRE has excellent acoustics. For away fans, the open terrace expectedly doesn't hold the noise very well at all so it can be difficult to build up an atmosphere.

How Are the Pubs and Local Attractions in The Local Area?
The Cardinals Bar inside the ground is open for away fans when the game isn't segregated, while the Sovereigns is a 10 minute walk away and is the best option near the ground imo, but there's also the Kingfield Arms on Kingfield Road or the Spoons in the Town Centre on Chertsey Road among others.

Attractions wise Thorpe Park is nearby (20-minute ish drive), while London is an option if you're coming by train.

Overall Score Out of 10?

Greatly depends on whether it's segregated or not but as it usually isn't, 8/10.

The Chris Lane Terrace is an awful place to stand and it's very difficult to get an atmosphere going on an open shallow terrace. I'd give Kingfield 6/10 as it scores pretty well on the other criteria.

I'd agree yeah, only said 8/10 if you're not segregated.

Woking do a hog roast burger if I remember rightly. That in itself bumps the food ratings up!

Cardsfan pretty much covers everything. Found the staff to be friendly. Neat little ground, although will need to be upgraded if they get promoted!

7/10
