Alfreton vs Southport
This is a huge game for both sides who sit either side of the relegation zone. I want to refrain from using the annoying phrase of a 'six-pointer' but three points in this one could give both a extra boost of hope for survival. Southport have a couple of games in hand on teams around them although losing manager Gray Brabin, to take up a coaching role at Everton, will have been a big blow as they had looked on course to safety. Alfreton will hope the Cauldron of Noise that is THE IMPACT will carry them through to a positive result.

Altrincham vs Aldershot
There was some controversy surrounding this fixture in the week for some reason that I'm not interested in. Apparently the Conference Twitter account was very helpful. Anyway, 'Alty' are slowly edging their way to the 50-point safety line whilst their opponents have been in free-fall since about forever. Chris Barker will be in charge of his first game as Aldershot manager following the sacking of Andy Football Genius Scott. The visitors are just six points off of the relegation zone and have a played a game more than 4th bottom Alfreton.

Barnet vs Woking
The pick of the games this Saturday. Barnet will look to maintain their seven point gap at the top of the league whilst Woking will be hoping for a repeat of last seasons 3-1 triumph at the Hive. It should be a tight affair, much like the 1-1 draw at Kingfield back in November. Woking, however, now have a revitalised squad after a disappointing Christmas period. Captain Mark Ricketts and Scott Rendell are now both fit and full-back Aswad Thomas returns to Surrey having signed in the week from Grimsby.

Bristol Rovers vs Lincoln City
Bristol are doing their best to keep up with Barnet yet the leaders have showed little sign of giving up their lead. Despite this, Bristol have already been awarded the three points by Lincoln due to the away side's inability to be able to do anything away from home. The visitors, though, have managed to put themselves into the play-off picture in recent weeks after notching six wins from their last six games at home.

Eastleigh vs AFC Telford
Eastleigh boast an impressive home record and have scored the joint-second most goals in the division so Doomed Telford, who have conceded the highest amount, could potentially lose about 10-0. With other play-off contenders either not playing or playing each other, this is a good chance for the home side to perhaps sneak into 5th spot. If there is any sort of hope for Telford is that against the better sides they do manage the odd result. They have recorded draws with Grimsby, Barnet, Kidderminster and even beat the Mighty Woking this season. #believe

Forest Green Rovers vs Grimsby
5th vs 4th so ideally a draw would suit everyone. Jon Parkin has been scoring a few goals or something for FGR and so has earned himself a couple of extra veggie burgers from Vince. The Worst Grimsby Side Garry Hill Has Ever Seen At Blundell Park are on a three-game winning streak having beaten Eastleigh, Nuneaton and Barnet, scoring six and conceding one. They will be hoping Ollie Palmer doesn't do this any time soon though:

Macclesfield vs Welling
Somehow Macclesfield are still doing well. They're third, one point behind Bristol with a game in hand. From their last ten they've won seven and lost three. Their goal tally may read 43 but 'Macc' have only conceded 27 goals in 31 games which is not to be sniffed at. Welling, on the other hand, are still that God-awful hoof ball side they've always been and they'll need their anti-football style more than ever in the next couple of months. They lie 19th and are six points off the drop. The bad news for them, is that Alfreton have two games in hand.

Pitch inspection at 10am tomorrow for our game, really hope it's on as a) we've got a real chance to build a nice winning run before Eastleigh away at the end of the month, and b) we've only had 1 home game since Boxing Day and need the money! Only managed a dire 0-0 draw at their place, however, so expecting a frustrating afternoon.

Very good effort Indeed there Sparrow and while talking about us you managed to avoid using the word "Tinpot".

Well this really is a HUGE game. A must win. Win this and it will inject a huge amount of belief not just in the fans but the players too.
Think we will just shade it 1-0 or 2-1 with a late winner.

Really hope we can get the game on too!

Has "Andy SFC" joined us over here from the other forum?

I actually think the pick of the games is FGR v Grimsby ( hopefully a draw or home win ). Also can see Alfreton doing some catching up because I think they'll beat Southport. Cannot see Welling getting anything either.

Apparently has Askey has won Manager of the Month. Sounds like Whitaker is still injured which is a loss, Bell might start.

We have a very poor record against Woking. Haven't won any of our last nine meetings, although 8 of those have ended in draws. Tomorrow would be a very good time to end that win drought.

Looks like we'll have a full squad to choose from.

Think we're without Power (suspended), Diagne (stomach), Robinson (hamstring) and Miller (hamstring).

Can't be letting other teams creep up on us when we actually want to be creeping up on Barnet. Said before that we need to win pretty much every game if we're to have a chance at 1st, no different here. A draw wouldn't be a bad result but if Barnet win then it's almost certainly play-offs for us.

Confident though, should have a relatively fit squad barring Neilson. Pittman and Brown have trained, not sure if they're ready. Would expect us to line up exactly like we did at Eastleigh.

If it's on, like.

Nice write up Sparrow. Not sure we are the pick of the games with the two form teams meeting in vegeland.

As long as we give a better account of ourselves this year I'll be happy. Fully fit, first choice squad and strong bench so no excuses.

We're without a game, due to the effing trophy game between Halifax and Dartford (at Droylsden). Missed my first game for 4 years at Welling last week and now another blank. Just as we're on our best run since we got here.

Really looking forward to this. Fantastic memories from last year, obviously the result helped the atmosphere, but there isn't a better away day in the league for me.

This will be a good test for us.

Hopefully we will nail them within 25 minutes and relax.

I remember last year and a dodgy penalty we were crap.

Our front players of Akinde and Macdonald should keep us on track.

Luisama is due a free kick so if it is tight I'd be a nervous Woking fan if you start giving free kicks around the edge as one will go in

It would be typical of us to go to Bristol like we did at Grimsby and win but more likely an easy win for Rovers with our patched back line:(

In two minds about this. We've been in imperious form at home for most of the season and we should win, but we are also renowned for ending the losing runs of opponents.

We've got our injuries too, which makes it even tougher to call - Sinclair and Easter are both out - but I ruddy hope we win though to keep up with Barnet.

You certainly have a different memory of the incident to me. Very dubious and soft pen. I don't know where you get karate kick from as the keeper made contact with his arm whilst punching the ball.

I may have been exaggerating slightly.. Still a definite penalty though - 4.05 minutes in

And another excuse to watch our 3rd goal over and over again ;)
