Boro V Everton
Southampton V Liverpool
Stoke V Sheffield Wednesday
Man City V Hull.

So City probably the only sure fire winners from those ties.

Boro, Southampton, City and Stoke into the semis.

City will have failed miserably if they don't win this competition now.

Not if they win the league or any other cups.
In terms of predictions,
Boro vs Everton - Boro on their worst day could smash Everton
Southampton vs Liverpool - Southampton at home would beat us if we played them next week. However, still a month left so it will depend on which team is on form around then.
Stoke vs Sheffield Wednesday - Stoke aren't as weak and naive as Ass Na.
City vs Hull - City should be beating teams like Hull even in their off day.

Agree with the OP. Other than City, the other three ties are all relatively open.

If City are still in Europe in January, they could use the SF's to rest a few players giving the others a huge chance at making the final.

What chances of a Liverpool - Everton final?

I was hoping we would get Everton in the QF. Weakest team left in the cup.

Think it'll be close on Wednesday with So'ton and Liverpool. I'll plump for 2 - 1 Liverpool win for the hell of it.

It won't be close if we continue to stand off teams.

Our biggest game of the season and I will be gutted if we lose it.

Thing is you have the dis-advantage of pushing for Europe........for Liverpool it's a win at all cost.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
Strong side for City. Good to see Delph and Silva playing. Would be easy to keep them out with the injuries, but they'll benefit from the match time.

Hopefully the three lads on the bench will get a run out. Two scored in the last round.

5000 Hull fans made the trip for the City game. Looking at the amount of empty seats in the Etihad tonight I reckon they are actually the majority!

It's funny cos it's tediously repetitive.

Does that mean you win the Internet? Because someone you have never and will never meet mocked you for being unfunny and tedious?

Is that how trolling works?

Well, I never. Live and learn.

And at risk of being pedantic.... If it really WAS 'every time' wouldn't that be, by definition, exactly equally tedious? And allowing for the fact that it might not have been every time, but the reposte would not have been made without the initial comment, the statistical likelihood is that it will not be 100%.

You've had a logical 'mare' there son.

Tedium doesn't work like that. It isn't one tedium point per post. You manage to cram in level of tedium into each and every post that is unmatched, to offer an example.

Nice attempt to look clever though, good luck with the next effort, friend!
