Well with Derby and Boro in Cup action this weekend, the focus of the automatic battle stays at Dean Court as we take on Huddersfield. Huddersfield will be out for revenge from the first day of the season. This also brings back League One playoff memories.
Huddersfield are likely one of the few sides in the division with little to play for from here on in, no trouble for relegation and unlikely to get near the playoffs. They seem vastly inconsistent flitting from wins to defeats one week to the next. Perhaps it depends which Huddersfield side turns up? It looked like they had quite a turnover of players in January, and Ishmael Miller might be one to watch.
Wonder if we'll see anything of Tommy Smith, back in training now after that scare being taken to hospital in a helicopter?
For our part, we played out a frenetic and highly stressful evening with Derby on Tuesday, with both sides leaving content with a point. I'm certain that will have taken some toll on the side given the effort they all put in. Perhaps we'll see one or two changes to the lineup? Kermorgant and Wilson up front together are in great form currently, hopefully that will continue. At the back however we looked suspect with Derby's high pressing line pinning our back 4. It's something that most sides have started to do against us, but it must be said that Derby did a particularly good job of it.
Another big game..
