What is Root like at T20? Seriously?

I hate it when Kent lose
We're looking good in all formats this year up to now. We've played three games in the T20, one was lost by 1 run on D/L and won the other two.

Been a while since we made final's day...

Yeah, but this Kent team shouldn't be losing many T20s, especially two in a row.

May be being a big baby but we don't rely on overseas players like Afridi and Sammy

Ended up at Glamorgan last night. Good game without being too exciting. Stand out moments were some big shots midway through the Glamorgan innings. Seeing Dale Steyn bowl in the flesh was pretty impressive.

Obviously kept up with the Roses match which made the evening even sweeter.

One question though, why did David Willey not bowl? According to Sky Sports Yorkshire used 7 bowlers and he wasn't one of them. Seems odd that the opening bowler for England in T20 can't get a bowl for his county.

Isn't he still partially injured but can bat?

He's been injured, hasn't he? I suspect he was probably fit enough to bat but not to bowl.

Should have chased down that 159 at Hampshire with ease the other night.

The difference in the Roses match last night was the 6's count. I think Lancs hit something like 7 more 6's than Yorks which is a mammoth amount of runs difference and very important in this format.

Credit to Root for giving it a good go but you can't chase down 200 odd runs on your own. Probably only one decent partnership away from actually making it interesting

Great effort by Somerset's last wicket partnership - came together at 198 and managed to score the 261 needed to win!

Tbf Bairstow was never out and was looking in good nick. Game changer of a decision, Buttler blagged the umpire a right one.

The Notts openers are enjoying themselves against Northampton - 304/0 after 36 overs.

Northants surely can't do this, can they?

They've lost 1 wicket too many, too early. But what a game. What an effort from Northants. The only thing you would say is, the fact that Northans have ran it close suggests the wicket was superb and takes away from the record opening Notts stand a little.

Wessels is really excelling now he's the main guy.

A match with 83 fours and 35 sixes is just fucking astounding regardless of the wicket. It's a Test match ground so you're never going to get anything overly abnormal in that sense.

Yorkshire might want to stick with the longer form of the game!

Serious improvement required I've no doubt we will win the cc again but things need to change in the shorter format that's where the money is and that's what takes the club forward. That today was truly pathetic

It was an incredible effort by Northants to even get close to Notts' score, over 8 an over for 50 overs in any scenario is a cracking effort. Good chance for Somerset to get on a roll if we can get a win against Surrey today.
