Darren Ferguson- Feeling the pressure.

Peterborough are currently on a run of bad form. Both the fans and the chairman seem to be running out of patience and if The Posh lose to Bristol City tonight; could this signal the end for Darren Ferguson?

Following last weeks defeat to Swindon Town, chairman Darragh MacAnthony seemed to send out the message that Ferguson's time was coming to an end.

After this, however, MacAnthony then took his words back saying that what he said was misinterpreted.
People seem to have misread what I mean by new approach! It meant I've been nice/nice supportive with plyrs etc, time for me to be different!

So could Darren Ferguson be facing the sack next, please vote and leave feedback.

Fergie Jr is doing a superb job as far as I am concerned! Suddenly the gap between us and the P**h feels smaller. Considering how much some of their players cost - I find it funny!

They were poor today, looked devoid of confidence and a shadow of the teams of the last few seasons.

The money they have spent is crazy but looking at the ones who cost money today who played like Madisson, Mendez-Laing, James... It just seems they haven't really worked out in the way Boyd, CMS, Assombalonga and Gayle did. It's always a gamble going for players unproven at the level your in but seems this year it's just not worked.

The conspicuous silence from him since the middle of last week is a fairly bad omen that he's going to do something shortly.

There are two managers who should be sacked immediately, one is Ferguson the other the Scottish clown that is Pressley
Both have had decent budgets to work with and Pressley is tactically incompetent

Its funny, because when we were top, I said we would get relegated. If TFF ever re-opened and you look back on every match day thread for our first 10 games, I said this.

I was only half heartedly saying it as I saw some serious issues in the squad. I didn't actually think we would get relegated, but its looking increasingly likely.

assumed it had been, there's a thread on our forum saying he's been sacked. No idea where they've got it from.

Please keep Fergie for another month.

A long-awaited victory over you lot will be pretty hollow without him at the helm. :bye:

I remember that! Even when you were top after the first 6 or 7 games I remember you saying you will be dropping right to the bottom. U thought you were mental at the time :D

There's nothing on our forum, nothing on Beeb or Sky and nothing suggested on any social media at the moment so I would say it probably isn't true.

Hmm, it is a little strange. What is the connection or the interest? I mean, i know its football and league 1 related, but why is there an active interest in it on your forum? I don't mean that in a funny way by the way, just seems strange that someone would make it up and put it on your forum.

I wish it was true!

I think they were trying to say that if you can sack your manager for being midtable and dropping we can sack ours too. Although the forum is quite active so general L1 stuff gets talked about anyway.

Its not just the fact we are mid table though.

We've dropped from 1st to 15th in less than 4 months!

well aye, we haven't quite capitulated in the same way but the parallels of us showing no sounds of a turn around under Clough and yourselves with Ferguson will be made...not least as a lot of Blades are getting increasingly frustrated with Clough and annoyed at the prospect of yet another season in L1.

His silence since the Vale game is odd as well.

I think it's all dependant on the County result now. Anything other than a win and he's gone.

based on Saturday he must be on borrowed time, the difference between September and now is staggering. A lad at the back called Burgess don,t know if he is a regular looked like a new born foal he couldn,t run and his confidence looked shot to bits, arguably one of most woeful centre halves i,ve seen this season pity Pope wasn,t on. Fergusson two seasons running has got them out of the blocks only to fade terribly, weird and can,t be a co-incidence
