For some like Burton or Hartlepool it probably won't really matter, but for 18 lucky clubs, they will all be here to dance next season in our lovely league.

In league 1

Walsall 35 -5 44
Scunthorpe 34 -6 42
Crewe 35 -25 42
Notts County 34 -9 41
Coventry 34 -12 36
------------------------------------
Leyton Orient 34 -8 35
Colchester 35 -18 34
Crawley 35 -24 34
Yeovil 35 -22 33

It looks presently like we will be given 1 of the boittom 5 sides, which are all completely uninspiring from a northerners perspective, though a day out in London for Orient would be good.

Personally, it would be nice to one (if not more) of Coventry (new ground) Notts Co (local derby) Scunthorpe (same) or Crewe (close to Manchester) to come down, though that would take a big swing in form for the bottom sides.

In the conference -

Bristol Rovers 38 21 73
--------------------------------------------
Barnet 37 35 71
Grimsby 37 27 68
Macclesfield 37 15 68
Forest Green 38 21 65
--------------------------------------------
Eastleigh 35 19 60

Despite not wanting many southern clubs to come down from league 1, I would be quite happy to see Bristol R come back up, they are doing well in the conference in their 1st season in that hellhole, you've then got the playoff sides close behind - anything could happen. Would be nice to see one of Macc or Grimsby gain promotion.

Thoughts?

Will be all about location for us: Leyton Orient, Colchester, Coventry and Notts County to come down (Crawley or Walsall wouldn't be a disaster mind) with Barnet and I guess Grimsby to come up. The others in the Conference mix are a fair trek from here. Eastleigh would be the closest out of the remainder.

The bottom 4 as it is to come down and barnet and eastleigh to come up. Div 2 south would be lovely.

Pretty much as per Laker. Only ones in that League One list that would be a pain in the arse are Scunthorpe and Yeovil, Orient is essential and probably Colchester too despite their new bland box stadium. Then take Coventry as a "big one", and probably Crawley just because they're almost guaranteed to be rubbish, but would have no complaints with Crewe either as that's a doddle for me personally. Notts County pretty straightforward trip too but I think out of that list they are the ones that are mostly likely to contend if they come down.

Definitely Barnet from the Conference, despite their stewards and the Met Police it was a belting away trip last year. Bristol Rovers haven't "done their time", and I have absolutely no desire to ever go to Forest Green or Eastleigh ever again. Macclesfield is a simple one up the west coast mainline for me, and Grimsby is a good away trip as long as it's not on a Tuesday night again, and they certainly have "done their time", so either of those would be OK.

If we stay up then I would like Barnet to come up, so we can renew our acquaintance with them.
If we go down then I would like Barnet to stay down.

Famous last words here but our home form should be enough to keep us up.

From what I've seen Yeovil are the only certs for relegation, worst side I've seen all season. After that it's anyone's guess, I can see Notts County plummeting though.

If Yeovil swapped with Coventry I don't think I could pick a better four teams to come down from the current situation. Orient and Colchester in particular would be great, especially the former - Crawley just because it's relatively local again.

From the Conference as well I'm liking the top 5 and would be pretty content with any two from the five that are there. Barnet are local, Rovers were a mainstay previously and I sorta miss them (aww), Macclesfield the same and we used to have a decent record over them, Grimsby would be a new ground for me and it's an away I'd quite like to do anyway, and FGR have potential for a decent away game. I'm pretty content with everyone coming up or down into this league really, which is odd.

I'd love Notts County to come down just for the away day, Leyton Orient aswell. After that I don't care but Yeovil are down. Colchester, Crawley or Cov would all be new grounds for me. Not arsed who comes up, It's about time Grimsby got out of that league and it's not too far for us.

I'd somehow like Burton to fuck up and stop in League 2 and York to survive!

To come down from lge 1, it's orient for me, cracking away day and I've missed our little rivalry since we've been shite, then probably The other southern cufc although not really all that bothered, notts county and then Coventry but if it's Crawley then they can be demoted to non lge straight away, always hated the place.

To come up, Bristol rovers and Grimsby with the latter definitely doing their time, actually scrap that, listening to frealaf and pontoonloon whinge about hursts new haircut is just to much, make it barnet instead.

Teams that are cheap and easy to get to so definitely Barnet, Orient and Crawley.

I'm particularly looking forward to renewing our rivallry with Crawley. The fat fraudster may have gone but there's still unfinished business there.

To come down - Crawley for obvious reasons, Orient so we can resume our little rivalry, Colchester and Crewe (only because I think that if any of the others drop down they'll be looking to make an immediate return, and Crewe look the least likely out of the lot)

Up - Grimsby as they have served their time, and their fans deserve league football, plus Macc for doing well on a shoestring budget. However I'm still hoping Halifax make the play-offs and hopefully go up, as I've always had a soft spot for them.

If we went down (which looks unlikely given our home form thankfully) I'd be confident of at least a Top 7 finish and the club would compete for promotion. There won't be the dramatic turnover of players that would happen at quite a few of the other clubs who'd go down in fairness.

That's why I said least likely as I would imagine you'll also be looking to go up again. But I would think County, Walsall and Scunthorpe would be in a stronger position for an immediate return. The only other side that I'm unsure about are Coventry.

Think Notts County and Coventry would have a high turnover of players if they went down. I dread to think what would happen to the latter if they went down.

Yeah but then we have to put up with that bellend B2TF or whatever he's called for all of next season!

Not many inspiring sides to choose from, I'd probably want Notts County, Scunthorpe, Crewe and Coventry. Think the current bottom 4 will get relegated though, which would be terrible for us.

Up from the conference, I'd take Barnet and Bristol Rovers, again nothing too exciting for us.

Do people really want Bristol Rovers thuggish fans back in League 2? I hope they rot in The Conference for years.

Thought their fans were top class, even if they had been sent down.

Softspot and Halifax are not 2 words I normally include in the same sentence.

Colchester & Orient are both local, intense and haven't been on the calendar for far too long.

Coventry for the big club angle, and Crewe for location would be ideal.

In terms of coming up, Grimsby have served their sentence and Macclesfield is one of my favourite away trips. I imagine it'll be Bristol Rovers and one of the made up clubs like Southampton Estateleigh.

Would love to see Grimsby back up with Bristol Rovers. County and Coventry would also be great! With Orient and maybe Colchester.
