The return of Lee Johnson - for the second time this season.

Two of the top 4 teams in the form table.

Shouldn't be saying this with the fantastic season we've had and the group of players we inherit, but I'd take a draw right now, as every point we gain is just another to tick off, and Barnsley have the capability of causing us serious problems Saturday, and the last time LJ brought his side to the Gate it took a fantastically worked set-piece to separate the two sides.

We have the capability to beat Barnsley, but I'm gonna go for a draw.

1-1

Even though it's after the lord mayors show a bit after last week, this team have a seriously strong will and a drive to succeed. While I think Barnsley will give us a good test, I just cannot see us being beaten in our current mood.
2-0. Wilbs and Flint as Aden versus Nayatanga is just plain unfair (unless old triangle head has improved ALOT).
Many Tykes heading South?

Tough game this but no way I'd be taking a draw, at home got to be hoping to win. Plus it would keep alive the slim chances of going up against Swindle.

And right now, as good as Barnsley's form is, I can't see us dropping points, right now we're playing as well as we have all season

The last few games we've really turned it up another level, the players are so determined to win this title and I can't see us letting up.

I'm going for a 2-0 home win.

Already asked it in the Away Support thread, but how many Barnsley fans coming down for this one?

It's a hell of a way, but with the form your in I'd expect there would be a real buzz around Barnsley at the moment, and you'll be bring more than a fair few?

I feel disgusted in myself for accepting a point at home - but the current situation we've got ourselves in allows leeway for points to be dropped.

Seems a distance off from the years when Fontaine and Nyatanga were our back two - jesus christ.

NOOOOOOOOOO! Our lot are far too determined and focussed to accept that even though we, the support, might.

No idea how many we're taking.

I do think Jamo said we've only got 510 tickets though in the away support thread.

I think it's up to 1100 but they are handed over in batches so that we can utilise the remaining block if you don't sell them. It's a real pain trying to get home tickets at the mo and it's only going to get worse from now until the end of the season.
It's worth remembering that there are strictly NO POTD for away fans at our place this season.

I doubt we'll be requesting extra to be fair. Around 500 sounds about right for this fixture, great form or not.

Cotterill would definitely not allow it, and rightly so, but as a fan you tend to look at the bigger picture.

Anyway - they won't be happy with anything less than victory Saturday, so lets hope they pull another fantastic result out of the bag.

Agreed. If we start to get into that mindset that's how we'll end up bottling it. Aim to win every game, set targets: 100 pts, promoted against Swindon, title against Preston etc.

Cant see a win to be honest. As much as the players will say not, playing in front of 12,000 at a building site will be a massive comedown from 72,000 at Wembley. Maybe scrape a draw although Barnsley at AG usually guarantees goals.

I didnt ever think Nyatanga was as bad as made out.

Usually I'd agree with you, but this team seems different. Just so consistent, thought there might be a few nerves at Wembley but no - from the first kick it was just like a standard league game. I don't think they'll be affected in any way.

Looking at it, there's been some cracking games between us of late, especially at AG. Two 5-3's and a 3-3 draw in the last 4 games, plus a 4-2 at Barnsley. Expect goals.

We should put up a decent fight given we've only conceded twice in the last 8 games, but you'll find a way to win as you have in most games this season. We battered you in the second half at Oakwell but you still managed to take a point, and likewise if we get battered but can nick a point then that will do me just fine.
Really, really hope Scowen and Pearson are back for this. I genuinely think were those two in midfield vs Preston we'd have won.

On the tickets front, we were given 510 and have sold all but 12. Not quick enough to get a second batch, but not sure we'd have sold all those as well.

Makes me laugh how we win game after game after game and people are still constantly predicting draws/defeats, even at home to the likes of Crewe. Its just impossible to shake off the ghosts of a lifetime following city isnt it?

We're playing Barnsley so we'll probably win 6-5 or something. Good luck after saturday though Tykes, hope you make the playoffs. I like Barnsley.

This team are just too good and too determined. I would be genuinely amazed if they lost or even drew for that matter.
I go back to the '75 team and this lot are just as determined to win. It takes a lot to say that as well. Not as good but certainly they have the same mind set.

A draw is very possible with them in decent form. Think we need just 7 points to seal promotion.

Going by their current form I expect this to be a tough game, but as Gerry Gow said above, the players really do seem to have turned it up a notch recently and found that extra gear that was spoken about all season.

Tight, but expect the win. 2-0

It's gone beyond looking for your results any more, which is a relief, so if you do happen to fuck up along the way it means nothing more than a personal chuckle.

It's them norvern lot we have to look out for.

Franchise can just fuck right off

All of our players were drinking beer and champagne on Sunday.
I wouldn't be surprised if we drew this one. After the Lord mayor's show and all that...
If we win though then it'll be party time over Easter weekend :db:

Anybody deck Flint?
What I dont understand Is the hate for Flint from you lot, when he left you for us you all said how crap he was and we could have him. Now he has done well for us you lot despise him. Dont get it

Nah, it's just a bit of the old ex player guff, really.

Same goes for McCormack and Douglas at Brentford.

Flint wouldn't suit our 'style' at all, so we should both be happy - we got a decent wedge and you got a player doing a good job for you
