2pts on the road in our previous two games against similar placed opposition to Dale but we've got to be aiming for all 3 in this one at home. We were shite at their place early in the season and Jamie Jones had an absolute nightmare, ironically though, he's now on loan at Rochdale but unfortunately won't be able to play (genuinely gutted).

Huntington could be missing after getting KO'd by our keeper at Fleetwood but Bailey Wright, Callum Robinson and Scott Wiseman will be back from international duty. If Hunts is out then I wouldn't be surprised to see King keep his place as Grayson seems to like having at least three big guys at the back for set pieces.

Johnstone
Clarke, King, Wright, Laird
Welsh
Gallagher, Johnson, Robinson
Garner, Beckford
Anything less than 3pts will be a big blow, the pressure is on.

I think Wiseman will play at RB and Clarke will move back where he belongs.

Really think you could lose this one..
Rochdale battered us at home, very decent outfit, probally the best we've seen at our place and there getting stronger!

We have recalled Jack O'Connell from Rochdale who had been playing every game for them. So a bit of a blow for Rochdale there.

He was their standout player for me at Spotland so that's good news.

I don't rate Jamie Jones at all but he seems to have been doing ok for them so that's an unsettled back five at least.

Ian Henderson getting a bout of Ebola on Thursday wouldn't go a miss either, that Vincenti can have a bit of it as well.

Vincenti is out injured as are 4 or 5 other key players I wouldn't worry, think you'll win this one.

As for Jamie Jones, I'm far from impressed.

Another tough game. Need a minimum of 4 points from this and Bradford away on Monday.

I went to Spotland, absolutley woeful that day and Rochdale did look a very good side and deserved there 3-0 win. Need the win to put pressure on Swindon and MK Saturday.

Any news on Hunts? He would be a massive loss

Our strongest xi this season:
Logan - injured, back at Leicester to recover.
***
Rafferty or Bennett. Both hopefully fit. Raff at RB as Rhys will be needed in midfield.
Eastham. Limped off last Sat. Doubtful.
O'Connell. Recalled by Brentford.
Kennedy/Tanser. One will be LB, the other filling in at CB.
***
Lund. Out recovering from dislocated shoilder. May be back this season, but probably not at Deepdale.
Dawson. Limped off last Sat.
Allen. Injured last Sat in clash of heads. May not reappear this season.
**?
Vincenti. Limped off last Sat, and has been struggling for a couple of weeks.
Done. Now playing for Sheff U.
Henderson. Still there, and a candidate for player of the year for L1, never mind Dale.
***
Sub in the big-lad-to-come-on-to-hold-the-ball-up-and-score-the-odd-random-goal role: Calvin Andrew. Injured.

So anyway, Dales team for Saturday:
Lillis. Dropped a couple of clangers (hence Jones being brought in). Decent keeper, with a point to prove.
***
Joe Raff
Olly Lancashire. Solid enough in L2; been caught out a couple of times this season.
Kennedy (or Tanser)
Tanser (or Kennedy)
***
Bennett
Andy Cannon. 18yo first year pro. Promising.
Michael Rose. Dead Ball Specialist, and a decent enough option as cover.
***
Henderson
(probably) Joe Bunney. Tall thin youngster who knows where the net is. Looks ungainly (think P Crouch) but a decent ballplayer.
AN Other. This could be Bastien Hery/Callum Camps/Reuben Noble-Lazarus (talented, butneed to extract finger), Febian Brandy (useful for Warsaw but not done much for us), Joel Logan (fast, but needs more awareness) or YT lads Nyal Bell, William Hasler-Cregg or Kisimba Kisimba.

Still got far too much for PNE though. 0-1 :)

Shit will hit the fan if we blow it in this one, which seems a real possibility given our struggles against Rochdale in the past.

A full strength Rochdale would give me cause for optimism but I struggle to see how PNE won't beat that team at home. All hopes pinned on Henderson!

3-1.

I'm going again, hope to continue the 100% record when I've been there.

What's he done now?
He's never ever on his feet and always leads with his elbow. Dirty all round team Preston so far, the referee is weak, he's forgetten his spray and his cards have also vanished.

Garner is a c***, but he's the sort of player if he plays for your team you love him, if you don't you despise the bloke.

He's a dirty bastard, but he gets as much as he's given, he's often targeted by teams.

You don't even need to target him though, if he fails to win the ball he just throws himself on the floor then runs over to the referee until he gets his own way, and the majority of the time it's worked because this referee is spineless.

Beckford pushed his marker before slotting home, then proceeded to goad the away fans, then took another two mins man handling his team mates while the referee just watched on. We had a man sent off last season for celebrating with his own family among the away support at Northampton last season, and that's celebrating with his own family, yet some referees ignore over celebration and goading in front of opposition fans, why isn't it one rule for all?

*cough* Nathan Thompson *cough*

The standard of refeering in this league is piss poor, like you suggested, no consistency, spineless and generally have no control over the game.

It needs desperate sorting.

No I don't ever name players, garner is special in that sense because he's a bloody cheat.

Don't think a supposed mod should be using profanity to talk to other posters.

I'm damn sure you'd be the same if he was playing for Dale. It's different when he's scoring goals for your team. I understand the Port Vale obsession now. He's a joke.
