I'll quite happily put my mortgage on it being re-arranged for when I'm in work.

Do we get docked goodwill points in the brotherhood table if we call the game off after midday?

What are the chances of it being on? Is it worth me getting up early for the trip tomorrow?

It's confirmed as off. It's barely rained in Wrexham today but they are apparently shitting it because of this storm. If it's worse than the one last weekend I'd be amazed. Health & safety gone mad.

They only call games off with perfect pitches. Tomorrow's conditions would be right up their street.

They still remain the only team in history along with Braintree to have had all their home games in August and September called off.

No plans for a pitch inspection at the moment - I imagine the pitch will be fine, the bigger issue will be whether the wind is too dangerous for supporters.

We have had some rain overnight (despite the forecast saying the contrary) and the rain which was forecasted as light this morning is already coming down heavy.

Bit suspicious that so far 5 games have gone in this league but not a single one in Leagues 1 or 2. Often for weather supposedly to come rather than weather that’s here.

Better change the name from the National to the Note From Mum League.

A Chesterfield journalist is reporting our game has been called off, however nothing official yet.

What's suspicious about it? League teams are better equipped for inclement weather than volunteer Dave and his pitchfork getting a boggy rice field remotely playable, easier to just call it off.

Volunteer Dave? (I think) all the games have been called off at professional clubs. If they’re paying players full time wages but not paying the bloke who looks after the pitch, I reckon they’re getting their priorities wrong.

Our game(and i'm sure others) was called off because of the high winds and safety concerns, not the pitch.

Aldershot (and Boreham Wood, apparently )
Shots game should be on, unless the wind is too strong for the ‘elf & safety . ... A postponement wouldn’t be a bad thing, as our entire “strike-force” (Mo Bettamer) is injured, and our central defence will be creaking more than ever in a strong wind. Also, Boreham were my tip for 2nd. spot at the start of the season, and are moving up slickly through the places.
If we play, I fear the worst, especially after last weeks shambles at Hartlepool. 1-3 Wood.

I'd imagine it's gonna be a mix of both, clubs can't win really, they call it off early and people whinge and moan and if they try and get it on and it gets pulled close to kick off people are gonna be angry after already paying out through travel costs, easier for everyone involved to just pull it and try again when the country isn't getting battered by a storm.

Anyone else having problems on phones with this site and ads. Since yesterday I get a large ad that fills half the screen and clicking the "x" doesn't remove the box just the ad.

I can't stand ads that do this and its making me not want to view the site.

Same here. REALLY annoying and it makes the site incredibly difficult to use.

Our game is off on safety grounds. My understanding is the pitch is fine, but there are safety concerns with the weather forecast for this afternoon.

As karlready said earlier, it does work out alright for us as Bettamer now misses one less game
