"They spend an average of £855 on their trips - more than £200 more than a typical tourist trip to the UK - pulling in over £84 million for the Merseyside economy."

You should be loving it. Johnny.

Travel agents sell tickets as part of package deals. Bit annoying when it's hard enough to get hold of them when you live here.

Toddy is clearly after some measured debate and I, for one, am happy to oblige.

I'm all for doing more to include local fans, I think clubs should at the very least have tickets that reflect the immediate area. Liverpool are based in Anfield, which is poverty stricken and the cheapest tickets are 40 quid? Same goes for all clubs.

Not keen on the xenophobic angle to it all, although I suppose my own views on 'glory seeking' lend themselves to that view. Have to say Liverpool still draw in the fans.

Our ticket prices are ridiculous when you compare it to others in Europe. The Germans are good value in comparison.

Really? That's doesn't sound like Chinese accent. We generally have no problem pronouncing "Li" but can't distinguish "w" and "v". So, most of us will sound like Liwoopoo.
And I don't think we contribute that much of their foreign travelling fans. In China, Liverpool's fanbase is smaller than Chelsea and can't compare to United's or Arsenal's.

I'd suggest you try and get some command of your own language before you start taking the piss out of how Chinese people pronounce words. It's HAVE, HAVE, HAVE, not of. Sort it out.

And though the fans were rather small
They had to count them all
Now they know how many fans it takes to fill the Albert Hall.

Am I surprised by this thread? The answer is no.

Neverton fans have proven once again that their jealously and bitterness shows no boundaries by attempting (rather poorly) to defame the long and successful history of glorious Liverpool by pointing out their popularity. 'Not very clever'ton fans seem to believe that you're not allowed to support a team unless you live within a stones throw of their ground, discluding so many people who love and adore the game around the world.

My question to 'In our shadows forever'ton is this: Are you aware that this sort of attitude blatantly shows your jealousy? Are you still bitter that you chose to don blue instead of red?

TBH i'm not bothered by foreigners supporting an English team. They usually do it because their league is crappy (not their fault) and so decide to support an English team (and the BPL probably gets more coverage then their own league TBH) . Most of them stay loyal, which is what most people forget, and consequently people forget there are plenty of glory supporters in this country.
