Absolute dog shite crowd for us on Saturday. Joke club, fans should be ashamed of themselves.

Although not helped by a gale force wind and a grand total of 0 away fans.[/QUOTE
How can you tell the number of away fans? Do you segregate?

My goodness. York seem to be doing their best to hand Kings Lynn the title.

Seems we have nothing to fear on Saturday if we are interested

We got more in for a Cheshire Cup game tonight than 4th v 3rd in the League did and another one that involved the title favourites.

Sigh.

You can tell nobody jumped for joy with your scrappy equaliser, well other than the excitement coming from the bench.

In all honesty i couldn't see any saints supporters?

Yes indeed that's somewhat disappointing for such an important clash between the top clubs (4th vs 3rd).

In some of the away games I've been to I have found it politic to not announce my support of Brackley very loudly, being outnumbered as I am. I see some familiar faces around who I think are in the same boat. So I don't think you can prove zero fans - but I'll accept there's really not a lot.

I do make this point repeatedly - we're the smallest town in either Conf N or S, even Alfreton is twice our size. Darlington is 10x bigger, Chester 8x etc. Based on this, I think reasonable logic, if we get 400 for the Tuesday night match, Darlington should get 4000, Chester 3200, perhaps more as their history and provenance is so much more significant than ours. We do have less big clubs around to pull away support, but equally it's just not a traditional football area either.

A decade ago we struggled to get 250 for a home game on Saturday, so to be averaging 500-600 nowadays is big progress.

Because their one fan, YOU, couldn't be arsed to be there. :bdick:
No you're right I couldn't. Spent the day with the wife & kids instead, and doing a bit of work. Also missed some August games taking daughter one backpacking around India and am missing some Easter games taking daughter two to New York. I need to sort my priorities out.

"There were no away fans because I didn't see anyone celebrate" is on a par with "there was no racism because I didn't hear any".

I may be bias but I reckon Chester is the worst place in the country for losing support to local Prem sides. Name another club with a premier league clubs megastore in their city centre? Whilst we can't even afford our own. Liverpool and Manchester by train in under an hour so you've got four of the biggest and best clubs in the world on our doorstep.

There's some clubs with positive links with Prem sides i.e. Gateshead with ticket offers for Newcastle fans, King's Lynn gaining Norwich support when they're not playing, but with Chester there's just a bit of hatred between the 'armchair' fans and the Chester fans... I've witnessed Liverpool 'fans' in Chester pubs celebrating us losing.

York strolled to three points today. We were woeful. Season over for us
It was season over when you employed BH bud:surr:
He managed to get a couple of half decent players in but ruined them as normal with his approach. Looking forward to seeing you in 3 weeks.

Dont disagree with you. Wouldnt be dissapointed if Billy left at the end of the season. Two seasons of his football is enough. March looks very tough for us against most of the play off contenders and with little to play for I cant see us doing much
Same to you mate. See you in three weeks time!

Alty 4 Spennymoor 1 Witnessed a superb game of football today with 5 good goals. Spennymoor are a very decent side too, but apart from a brief spell after HT after their fullback scored with a 30yd screamer and they had a couple of chances, but Alty just played keep ball and dominated the game and created a lot of chances throughout.
Probably too far adrift of Lynn to win it but top 3 now realistic, we have to play most of the top sides yet and fancy us to beat anyone now home or away.

I wouldn't be too worried about that. We've just lost to a team at the foot of the table who had less points than we had at the end of August. The worst performance from Bern and Jonnos team since they arrived, even worse than the 8-1 at Blyth last season. Play-offs seem far off.

People laughed at us about that Blyth result last season but this was worse today. Bradford were all over us like a rash.

Completely fallen apart, play-offs at all are a doubt now.

End of the day, there were no Brackley fans seen or heard. Might there have been one or two incognito? Maybe. That doubt will always go in Brackley's favour. But we can only say what we (didn't) see.

In December we lost 2-0 at BPA and did not register a shot on target,.. must be something in the water there:dk:

1-1 at Kettering on Saturday. Mensah second goal in as many games but rode luck in second half as the hosts hit the bar and the post. Farsley tonight at Evesham, assuming its on, really need to start putting in some performances now.
