Our away form this season puts us 5th in the league, home form 20th. Aggborough used to be a fortress for us.

But our season is done, Penn has told the players who are out of contract this season they've got the rest of the season to earn a contract with us. I'd also like us to try and experiment with some games. So far this season we've stuck to a 3/5 back-formation. I would like us at some point to try a 4 back again.

On the Southport game, I think it's just a common thing where Southport will do well at Aggborough and we'll do well at Haig Avenue. Another win on an awful pitch it resembled a beach more and a football pitch.

1-1 at Kettering on Saturday. Mensah second goal in as many games but rode luck in second half as the hosts hit the bar and the post. Farsley tonight at Evesham, assuming its on, really need to start putting in some performances now.
Why? You're surely safe this season - can't see Blyth catching you even if you don't get another point all season. All about filtering the squad for next season...

We've signed Jim Kellerman until 2021, looks like a good signing on paper.

Probably but we play Blyth this Saturday. Until it's mathematically safe I'm not counting any chickens, we've been mainly poor since November.

Bloody hell, we've signed Elliot Durrell.

It's a big signing on paper, but we've been here before with yer Nathan Arnold / Steve Drench / Conor Branson, (Danny Higginbottom!) so I'm going to see how that goes.....

Can't complain four games in

91st minute winner from Mensah who has 3 in 3 games now and another goal for McClure. Big win that which puts some distance between us and the danger zone with plenty more to play.

We haven't kept a clean sheet under Rowe yet so Saturday v Blyth is the perfect opportunity to hopefully get that and make it four unbeaten. Do that and we're looking upwards finally.

Don't know why York didn't want him. He's certainly good enough for any team outside the EFL. He virtually kept Macc up last season on his own when he recovered from injury. He only left there because of the 'not getting paid' situation (which I believe will relegate them this season).

Look forward to our games next season then.

Are you ruling promotion out then? I know you lost to BPA but you've still got a great squad. I saw on Deva Chat some people were calling for Morley and Johnson to go.

And how's Elton done? I notice he seems to be a bench player mostly

Our current form is close to relegation form. If we make the play-offs, which I wouldn't put any money on, we wouldn't get far. Even when we came from behind to beat King's Lynn we had a massive stroke of luck when James Jones got a yellow when it was a red all day. Elton isn't up to it I'm afraid. We've got a run of games against in-form, promotion chasing teams. I think we need to win at least 5 of our last ten, but unless we have a massive upturn in form that won't happen.

I still think you'll get playoffs, Boston, Alty and York would be tough to beat but I can't see any other teams making a claim for your spot except maybe Spenny.

If you'd have asked me who'd do better Joel Taylor or Elton I'd have has no hesitation in saying Elton by far. He'd always welcome back at Aggborough in the eyes of the fans.

"Boston, Alty and York would be tough to beat" ... not Brackley then?
To be honest I think our chances of going up are about 2% this year. We don't score enough (despite the GF artificially hiked by a few big results). Seen us fail in the previous 5 playoffs, so a 6th will be fully expected. Simply don't understand Kidderminister - the only team to have outplayed us this year at home (where we lucked a 2-0 win) and yet a dreadful season for them...

Our last game of the season is Spennymoor (h). Might be a lot on it, but we've never beaten them.

Joel is out injured at the moment, which might be the reason for the downturn. Hope he's back soon.

Brackley will always be up there but I just can't see you being in the semi's or final. Never felt like Ndlovu is the player to fire a team to promotion.

And our season, is summed up by our away and home form, away form we're 5th in the league home form we're 20th. Strange season which I'm happy to see the back of.

I love Ndlovu myself - but he's not a goal scorer. You need his hold up play with an out and out goal scorer next to him. We arguably have the defence and midfield to be very competitive, but not as a unit going forward & I'm unconvinced by the GK.

A couple more wobbles by King's Lynn will make it interesting at the top... 4 pts out of the last 15 for them now....

Lewis was by far your best player against you. I'd have him back in a heartbeat.

Seems like we broke King's Lynn

Like yourselves, BPA left the Walks with a deserved 3 points. We haven't deserved anything from the last two games at home and fair play to both visiting teams as they out fought and out played us. We still have time to turn it round and no-one else seems to be putting their hand up to take that automatic promotion spot but we need to have a long hard look at ourselves and the personnel / formation we put out for Saturday.

That's very magnanimous of you. I hope you go on to win it (don't like York City) and it makes our defeat against BPA easier to swallow.

Not quite. They have said donate the money and if the league continued they'll give match tickets. I feel sorry for King's Lynn as they are almost certainly going to go unrewarded for what must be their best season in this era. As for signing a player that's just forward planning.

It's sensible if his contract starts when playing starts again, if they've committed to paying him now that's ludicrous.

After the way a fair number of their fans have continued to behave through this season, I don't have any sympathy for them whatsoever to be honest.
