Mansfield have issued this statement about season ticket refunds.

looks like no away fans and only selling to last season’s STH initially.

Also STH get an ifollow voucher to see home games that are played behind closed doors.

I'm still confused about proposed salary cap etc, it's only around 7-8 weeks off start of the season, and i'm guessing some clubs aren't recruiting as they aren't sure what they have to conform to.

Into force on 6 August. But, you’re right, no figures yet.

Typical EFL shambles

Joined on 8th July 2020, yet you think you’re member number 52. Fuck off

I always thought the number on someone's profile was their age?

I must have fucked up my registration.

Do they not have the internet in Mansfield? Why aren't they selling ST online?
I agree with the ifollow voucher principle, not as good as being there but needs must

Today's announcement's may put the football fans being back in stadiums back...

The test events are off the table for now.

Clubs in the bottom 2 leagues won’t restart games if there can’t be fans present.

Those who have splashed the cash in anticipation may start rueing that decision.

21 players, 5 of them teenagers and only 5 over 24.

Not likely to be doing much more business apparently, so will definitely be a smaller budget then last season. Under the budget cap from what I've heard.

I am afraid they will. The issue is for how long can they do without fans and how many will they let in when they can

After this set back I don’t think we’ll see fans in stadiums by October as planned. Think it will be next year now. Clubs are going to die if something isn’t done. The premier league should help, but they won’t, unless we agree to B teams in Leagues 1 and 2 which isn’t an option!

They’ll have to find a way of bringing in some form of match day income. Maybe utilise the streaming thing further than ifollow, through TV somehow.

Quite possible...although I can see clubs being allowed to admit home fans only for a period of time, to stadiums with vastly reduced capacities to allow for some social distancing. To be fair, would you (or anyone) want to travel miles to watch a game in an area with far higher infection rates than the area where you live.

I saw the infection rates for early July and Stroud, covering the Nailsworth area, was down to 0.8 per 100k people...at which point Leicester was back in lockdown because it was nearly 150 per 100k. Some of the northern towns and cities, thinking Greater Manchester and parts of Yorkshire, are heading towards the figure that brought lockdown to Leicester. A lot can happen between now and the middle of September when the new football season may start, hard to make a prediction, but I won't be going to an away game any time soon.

Getting there - still in need of a RB! I’ll lose my shit if Sutton starts at RB.

We currently have 6 contracted players, 2 of which are rumoured to be in dispute with the club over furlough payments. We have a new manager (though still yet to be announced by the club) with 5 weeks to prepare for the new season and we’re not back in training yet.

Should be another year of fun for us.

I'm surprised clubs haven't been selling half-season tickets for the second half of the season for income qnd then see what happens with October

Noticed on BBC Cumbria’s twitter that Barrow’s training ground is in Manchester. Why?
