We've been given 967 tickets and told that's your lot. Assumed it would have been higher than this..

Its a tiny ground so sounds about right to be fair.

Away end/side holds 1150 according to the away fans guide. Our allocation is greater than what they’d stated on their own website a couple of weeks ago.

Does sound like a few more than I recall most getting this season, don't think they ever give the notional 1150 though maybe remembering wrong. Just checked back at how many Swindon brought which was a sell-out IIRC and that was 804.
Don't forget although it's all standing if anyone really does need to sit they can ring the club.

we took 43 sheep to help tidy up the away fan's beer tent......a friendly gesture that that FGR wouldn't extend to Newport for some reason .

If tickets are all sold out then do what so many away supports have done this season and apply for ticket in South Stand, where there is always plenty of space and is closest to the away support.
But don't do what a Gloucestershire based Coventry fan did and alert FGR that he was a Coventry fan. They refused to sell him any and he was livid.
And of course don't wear your colours at game if you are in home section. Security is hot on that sort of thing.
We've had supporters from other clubs with reputedly bad reputations but so far no problem whatsoever.

Also bear in mind, if you do end up going in the South Stand, that it has become a bit of a family/young supporter overflow area. Anyone whose behavior is contrary to that image, regardless of who they support, is unlikely to be welcome for very long. If you apply common sense and don't do too much to identify yourselves, as suggested by the post above, you should be just fine.

I am sure when we played FGR in the FA Cup we got two ends? I was in the standing down the side and we had seating behind the goal to the right of the standing terrace?

Yes you are of course right...it should have been the North Stand!

I would advise away fans from trying to get in the South Stand...even I'm scared of going in there and I'm a Rovers fan!
