Our fan base is divided, many want us to get 0 points and bow out now without having to take part in the Europa League which is just a pointless competition. I however want us to take every match seriously and do all we can.

If the Arsenal turn up that played against Man Utd then we have a great chance. Hopefully Gabriel will play with Kos as we'll need the mobility and passion they both show to deal with Lewandowski who is white hot right now.

If we play like we can, we can beat them. However our script in Europe over the past few years is that we'll play a shocker and lose at home and play out of our skin at the Allianz.

We will play Ospina again, which is beyond stupid as when he's in goal our defence is clearly nervous without Cech. Walcott to start with Giroud on the bench.

I'm going to be confident and positive. Arsenal to win 1-0. Alexis again.

I'd like this...

Cech
Bellerin - Kos - Gabriel - Monreal
Coq - Santi
Ramsey - Ozil - Alexis
Walcott

Though I'm worried that we'll see this...

Ospina
Debuchy - Per - Gabriel - Gibbs
Coq - Santi
Ramsey - Ozil - Alexis
Walcott

Not convinced Bayern are such an unbeatable force - they've failed in the CL under Guardiola so far, and the lack of competition in the Bundesliga distorts their true ability IMO - but it'll nonetheless take a near perfect performance to win this. Should be a great game. Hope no-one gets sent off or 'owt.

Bayern is a top team with world class players in almost all position, while Arsenal are bang average apart from Sanchez. Routine victory for Bayern.

Following on from the utterly pointless twenty is plenty protests, Bayern have decided to do their own pointless version at paying £64 a go and are coming into the stands 5 minutes after kick off. Gaaaaaaay.

The last Guardiola team considered the best in the world came here and suffered a defeat and a draw. We'll fuck 'em up.

I read at Arsenal site that Ospina will be out due to injury so most likely Cech will be there. But I think Bayern is better at international competitions than Arsenal.

what i ask myself is, how Bayern would do in the EPL. if you look at the results between Bayern and english clubs you'll find a nearly balanced record but when you take a deeper look, you will find only wins for the english teams when Bayern were uninterested in the game as they were already through.

anyway: 2:2

We'll give it a good go in the beginning only to falter out. Bayern will wear any team down after 60-70 minutes.

I've already accepted going out in the group stage—not please about it—but we need a good showing to keep momentum in the league. The no Europa League sentiment is bollocks. We could do with experience in European cup ties and England needs the many co-efficient points. I'd rather win the Europa League than suffer another round of 16 exit, to be honest.

Europa League surely means no title challenge though.

I don't think this is necessarily true. I think we would need to add another couple players in January and play a (relative) weakened squad in the Europa League. The likes of Welbeck, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Giroud, Wilshere, Rosicky, Debuchy, Gibbs, and Ospina are good players capable of winning ties with Özil, Alexis, Coquelin, and Koscielny protected for league play until the semi-finals. I think we desperately need more depth on the wings if Theo continues as CF.

The league title should comfortably be the primary objective.

HMMMMMMMMM

I just can't see it as anything other than a seasonfucking influence. If we did rest a lot of players until the later stages, fair enough, but I don't think it's easy to do that. Would be better for us to bow out nice and early like United vs Bilbao in 2012 (went on to lose the title on GD).

£10 on us losing the title on GD now. Thanks, mate.

As Poshcockney said at the time, that's basically a draw.

I see Arsenal winning this one. Not that Bayern want to lose, but if I were Guardiola, I'd like to see Arsenal finish second as they have a bigger chance to shock one of Bayern's main competitors.

Ospina is injured apparently, Cech will start then.

If Bayern take this seriously Arsenal are getting SMASHED. But I hope they don't, the longer Arsenal field a side midweek for a comp they'll never win the better. For the English coefficient too ovvi.

Arsenal will win tonight then get battered in Munich.....and we'll spend the next 5 years hearing about that night at the Emirates. Lads it's too late. Europa League beckons.

Lovely move from Bayern there, the shot was too close to Cech though.
