European match day chat.

Hopefully we don't f**k this up. Underestimate them as a team and we'll get butchered.

However, we have better players in every position. Play a strong team and we should win, early goal is important to keep them quiet. (or as quiet as possible).

2-0 Arsenal is my prediction.

This is a massive game for Arsenal seeing as they lost the first group game and have back to back matches against Bayern after this. Must win.

They haven't won in there last 12/13 away European games. This should be a breeze for The Arsenal.

Koscielny should be rested as he is critical for the match against United; Coquelin, too (even with Flamini and Arteta out). The Manchester United match is more important - we have a better chance of winning the league than we do becoming European Champions. I think Osipina, Debuchy, and Gibbs are certain to play bar injury. Perhaps Chambers will play ahead of Cazorla/Ramsey in midfield.

Ospina
Debuchy - Mertesacker - Gabriel - Gibbs
Ramsey - Cazorla
Ox - Özil - Sanchez
Walcott

Interesting that Per is omitted again. Being saved for the weekend or is he no longer first choice?

Tough to say, but given that Mertesacker hasn't played much football recently and is retired from Germany, I suspect it's the latter.

Why's Cech on the bench?
I expected it from Wenger, but I don't really know why. I don't think Ospina has a future here - Martinez or Szczesny will backup Cech over the next few years.

Shit game so far from us. A deflection off of Oxlade-Chamberlain (who should have done better) gave them a 1-0 lead and then a fortunate response from Walcott a minute later.

Wenger is making a habit of underestimating European opposition.
Still plenty of time to turn this around though.

You should have kept Chesney. He wouldn't make a stupid error in a CL match... :mell:

How on earth did we not score there?

Koscielny's fucked his hamstring right before the Manchester United match. Joy.

Normally I would be pissed but I have become indifferent to these results over the last few years, because nothing is going to change at Arsenal until Wenger leaves the club, but the board won't do anything because they have about as much ambition as he does
