Just one shot on target for Villa, according to the BBC Stats.
Shocking. How long before Lambert is sacked?

Edit: 2 now.

Radio WM will be hilarious this afternoon. Lambert has to go. Not the defeats, but no goals in 6 games is farcically bad, especially when you weren't on a goal glut previously.

That was fun.

We're hitting our stride now. Onto Spurs next week, should be a good game.

Laser finish from Bellerin. Great goal.

Villa were so bad.

Too easy for us in the end. I really thought Villa would punish us for our wastefulness in the first half, but they're really awful.

I think Delph is a little overrated honestly. He doesn't score, create or even win the ball back that well. He's a very good athlete and he can run with the ball well enough, but what's the point when you can't do anything with it when you get into a decent position. I'm not saying he's a bad player, but Liverpool or someone else is truly interested in him, then I'd be in favour getting as much as I can for him.

The Villa team needs a bit of a rebuild, that midfield is terrible. Sanchez in particular has no place playing in the premier league on his performances against Arsenal.

btw also very encouraged by Akpom. He looks good, give him a contract imo. Shame Bellerin couldn't find him with that square ball.

I think it's become a case of us needing to prove to him that he will get his chance here, hence him playing around 60 minutes in the last two game, as from the sounds of it a couple of clubs are looking at signing him. I think he looks better than 'chaos factor' Sanogo, he's certainly better technically and has good movement. I hope he gets his chance here.

Didn't Lambert claim that Sanchez was the bargain of the summer? (The shit one, not Alexis)

Depends on how much they were paid for taking him I guess?

Pretty sure Carlos Sanchez is the new Sacha Baron Cohen character.

Villa will go down this season. Lambert will not be sacked. Learner will see no point as he is selling, and a reduction in price by them being relegated may just get the club sold for a new owner looking to invest from the 2nd Tier.

The Villa
Sanchez has quickly gained cult status on VillaTalk. But he was rightly ripped to shreads on there yesterday, he gives the ball away at the worst possible times. I find it odd how certain people (not just within football) get away with things yet others are panned for the very same things. Is it just fanboy mentality? I'm really impressed with Gil though, we've not had flair at villa for years, always wanted somebody like Lallana/Coutinho etc. I could go on all day but can't be arsed to type on this phone!

Gil was easily your best player, he looks handy. Great cross for Weimann too.
