I will agree with Jockney that they relied heavily on the Breaking Bad characters (other than Saul) for the 'pull' moments of the episode, it seemed a little bit early and rushed on that front. Otherwise, I really enjoyed it, particularly after the opening 10 minutes or so. Bob Odenkirk is just very watchable. I think this will grow.

I f'n called Tuco being in the house after the old hispanic lady got out of the car!

Was brilliant I thought, very enjoyable and great to have the Breaking Bad-verse back. Set up at the end with the planned accident was very interesting, in terms of the different possibilities. Just the opening scene was exciting for me, to see Saul post season 5.

2nd episode is on Netflix and it is decent.

The scene with Saul negotiating the punishment with Tuco was hilarious. Everything that makes him such a fantastic character. It was also very Breaking Bad, a stand off out in the New Mexico desert.

The running joke with Mike as the parking attendant and Saul never having enough stickers has also had me laughing. It will be interesting to see how Mike is integrated into the show.

This show is going to win just because Michael "Vaas" Mando is in it.

Nice little callback to No Doze's death in BB. "Stop. Helping." Raised a chuckle.
Michael Mando seems like a really talented actor. His character is pretty restrained, almost cold. A completely different proposition to Vaas, but the performance is extremely convincing.

Thought the second episode was crap up until the final scene which salvaged things somewhat. I just couldn't take Saul negotiating the punishment for the skaters in the desert seriously, got a bit fanciful there.

Yeah I didn't like that scene but I guess it was used to highlight how skilled he is at bullshitting his way out of things.

Bit shite so far. Just watched the 3rd episode, was boring until the end.

Quite a lot of people said the same about Series 1 of Breaking Bad. We only have high expectations because of the cast/writer.

Episode 3 was a bit slow but I like how a picture of Jimmy/Saul's past is being built up.

Have no idea why people think it's boring or slow - are they completely unfamiliar with Breaking Bad? I'm enjoying it so far, it's been a solid 3 episodes and I'm sure they'll ramp it up the more he gets involved with Nacho etc... - I love the fact Mike is in it from the start as well.

Wasn't enjoying episode 3 all that much up until the
scene with Mike, and then Saul going after the Kettlemans. Was feeling rather contrived to me having Tuco's gang so heavily involved in events, kind of seeing what Jockney is saying about forcing BB references in to it now.
But like with episode 2 I think the last 5-10 minutes saved it a fair bit.

Haven't watched it yet, I'm afraid of it tainting my love of breaking bad.

Watched two episodes, about to watch the third.

Been a decent watch so far, hopefully they develop a good story.

Third episode started too slow, started to get bored at times.

I like it. I'm not completely enthused about it or anticipating the next episode each week but it's started off reasonably enough for me to think it'll be fairly good at worst. The thing with BB was always the pay-off so I think it's hard to really know what BCS will really be about until you start to see all the moving parts come together - Kettlemans, Nacho/Tuco, Chuck, Kim and then I guess with some sort of tie-in to the flashbacks from the start of episode 3. I don't think they'll explore much of the future stuff though.

I'm enjoying it and that's the main thing. Agree with a couple of points raised about it being a bit gimmicky I guess but still look forward to the next episode each week so it's good enough for me so far.

I've decided to let it run it's course and then binge the entire lot in a couple of evening. Saves waiting a week and forgetting the storylines that way.

I've tried saving them but when I know it's Tuesday and I have an hour to myself I just end up watching it. It's ticking along nicely and you just have to love his character.

I only finished the final seaosn of Breaking Bad last week so this has acted as a decent methadone for the absense in my life.

I'm a little worried that they'll try and shoe-horn too many BB characters into the show (certainly the issue of the Green Green Grass sitcom that saw Boycie and Marlene invite Denzil to come and visit only a few episodes in...), but I guess that's inevitable considering the series is set in the not too distant past.

Saul Goodman was always a bit of a comedic side character in BB so the transition to hero was always going to be a little difficult. However, I think it's good to give it a bit of time. I certainly enjoyed the Vince Gillian (?) touches such as the scraping of the TV across the court-room and the insertion of the video into the VHS player. There's a lot of good will from BB still in the bank so I'm willing to forgive any issues this show may have.
