Great season, followed the GoT style of season with the climax in the penultimate and the last episode being the wind down finale to set up the next season. Brilliant acting throughout and Vince shows what a genius he is. Only criticisim i'd have is that it seems to lack a clear direction until the last few episodes, jumping from Mike to Saul constantly and couldn't seem to figure out which was the main character at times which caused the pacing to be off.

Hey, ho, the wire, the sopranos, treme, twin peaks, et al, all followed that structure to an extent.

Yeah it is usually a HBO formula, interesting to see Vince do that as I don't think Breaking Bad did this too much originally. I like it as in today's age of binge watching, it is a lot better to have the wind down episode after the roller coaster of the season.

Loved this series. From that Mike episode onwards it really took off. Just a shame the next season won't be on until next year

Don't know how I feel about the season really. Felt it started really slow before getting very good but didn't feel that the last couple of episodes were as good as they could have been.

Still, it was good enough to make me want to watch season 2 when it comes out so it obviously was doing something right.

You have to admire the production values , when they had to put thier mobiles in a box, dozens of old phones...

Enjoyed most the season, but the finale was awful. Very disappointed in how it ended. Not much at all happened. The bingo scene nearly put me to sleep. Forgettable ending to a good season.

A couple of times I thought it's going to start getting good now and then it just didn't.. The first season of BB wasn't the best so hopefully next season it kicks on

Watched Mike's episode last night and then the episode where HHM lost the Kellarman's. Enjoyed them both, especially Mike's episode. I wouldn't say it's been anything amazing, but enjoyable, solid 7/10 TV viewing. Nobody who watched BB in the first season could have even slightly envisaged how that would go on and become the best show ever made. You could argue that up until early Season 3 too.

Agreed, it didn't seem to be going anywhere and there was no drama to it. I know its a lot lighter than BB and ultimately both Walt and Saul are (fairly in Walts case) likeable losers, but it did seem very slow, a bit preposterous and is trying to do too much to a character in James/Saul that really doesn't have a lot of depth to it, and by building a backstory like this, it just makes it more implausible to me the story he ended up having, and where he eventually wound up.

Loved Mike's backstory though, that was excellent. Saw the ending of ep 1 and the betrayal a mile off as well! :D

This kind of abrupted too early without any real cliffhanger, but I'll still give the second series a shot when its is out.

Yep ...as soon as it's torrentable .... I hope there is less with his brother and more with Mike this series ( season)

Completely forgot about this show, this new season has just blindsided me. I'll watch the first couple tonight then. I enjoyed season 1 a lot.

Slow start I thought, enjoyable enough though. Be interesting to see how they slowly evolve his character from being an everyday bloke to a cocky, criminal lawyer.

The second episode really picked up I thought.

The scene with Mike and the baseball card guy sitting in the Hummer I thought was brilliant. Had me laughing and shouting at the TV like only Breaking Bad/BCS can.

After it seemed like Jimmy had turned down the job at the end of the first season, I definitely think it makes more sense that he has now actually accepted the job from a writing point of view. Also interesting scene with his new boss playing the guitar and describing it as his outlet and how everyone needs one. Well at the end of this episode we get to see what Jimmy's is.

Overall still really enjoying the show.

Really? I've been waiting for this to pick up for a while now and it hasn't, really poor start to this season too.

I can see why someone would say that. It's sort of a different show to Breaking Bad, more a sort of black comedy I guess.

As fascinating as the back story is ....I'm looking forward to him actually being Saul and seeing how he runs his buisiness ... I get that the relationship with Mike needs to be established but we need not have to wait this long

I'm liking it so far but I can't help but want the story to pick up pace a little. Either that or just focus on Mike more.

don't understand why we're still having exposition-heavy scenes with mike's daughter-in-law when we already know about that situation, know the characters and know it won't come to any sort of dramatic climax given he still has a relationship with her in BB.

jimmy and kim stuff aside, it feels like the show is spinning its wheels.

The scene on the bus where he gets all the old people to sign up is what I was hoping the whole show would be about , him ducking and diving as Saul

Just to re-iterate, this is so desperately disappointing.

Great episode that. Very well balanced where I cared immensely about both story lines. Bit more of this please Vince, loved the humour of this episode too.

I'm really enjoying the second season personally, good change of pace from the 'heavier' dramas I usually watch with Mike's storyline providing a bit of action now and then. The last episode was very good.
