Are they as bad as I hope they are anyone?

A game I think we should really look to win - means we will probably lose.

We are very unfit so expect us to concede straight after half time and/or in the last 10 minutes.

2-1 Chesterfield, 350 int away end.

They were not that bad when we played them. Seen worse this season.
If you turn up and expect them to roll over they may surprise you.

Yeah they weren't bad against us. Definitely didn't lack effort, although the talent level isn't the highest. You should win if you put a shift in though.

2-0 Tahn

Hopefully DS has them fired up after Satdi's capitulation (amongst others) and we actually turn up.

We've been better away from home tbh.

2-0 Town. These are wank. If we don't win I'm on the manager out bandwagon.

There shouldn't really be a must win less than 10 games in, but this is looking like one! It would probably do us good if it was a last minute winner, to shake that monkey off our back. A clean sheet would be good an all!

To be honest i've never come out of the anti-Saunders brigade, ever since I saw hi managerial record and heard his interviews during pre season.

Board have stitched him up but his signings, tactics, quality of football and fitness levels of players hasn't endowed him to me.

Must win for him tonight or we could have a couple of embarassing home attendances coming up

We've had injury luck akin to Arsenal - if it is luck - but we really must not fail to win tonight.

Luck? Or the manager signing a bunch of crocks and then sacking our fitness coach who had us the fittest team in the league last year?

I thought Mal Purchase was meant to be turning us into a bunch of inhuman supermen? We look like a team ready to hang up their boots any day

Fucking knew this was gonna happen. It's always the case with Town. ANY TEAM on a long winless streak home/away/total always break their hoodoo against us.

We sound poor, not looking forward to listening for another 45 minutes tbh.

I've never been anti DS, neither pro DS. Just a case of in the give him time camp. As things stand the clock's ticking rather rapidly towards judgement day.

I really feel for the bloke, sold a club on the up, all his best players sold from under his feet, replaced with proven players that we're either crocked/coming back from long term injiries, or quality that have been out injured quite quickly after joining. I think he's an unfortunate guy, which is a shame as he's a decent, genuine football bloke, with no baggage or skeletons in the closet like our previous 2 full time incumbents.

Who loses two games in the play-offs to Preston and then loses against Bloody Blackpool (actually loses to them, two goals to nil) within a 6 month period?

Just sack everyone.

I think you're being way too nice buddy. He's relegated three teams and if he keeps this up he might just relegate four. He is a very, very poor manager no matter how nice of a guy or how snappy a dresser he is.

Well Fuck me that was awful.

Saunders has to go but the root cause is Allen and Turner, they aren't interested anymore at all aslong as they can flog our assets - of which none remain anyway

There weren't too many Town fans happy with Saunders appointment, ignore the alarming amount of relegations on his CV for a moment, purely his "style" of football is not what was called for at that time especially as our success over the last couple of years was built on having a good footballing side. Even with the players sales, a manager with a similar approach to Cook should have been the only way to go but instead after absolutely no interview process to speak of, Saunders a man who is known to have a prehistoric footballing philosophy was bizarrely given the job.

Now as much as i thought he was an awful choice, you have to give the bloke a chance. Going into the season with the attitude that you want the manager out before a ball has been kicked isn't good for anything. Against Barnsley in the first game we actually played some decent football, maybe it was only down to levels of fitness at that stage but for a brief time i thought that Saunders was going to sensibly try to just carry on with what went before it's looking increasingly likely that it was only a freak one off because every time i've seen us since, we've been some way short of that.

1 win from your first 5 home games and 3 straight games where we've thrown it away in the 90th minute isn't what's going to keep the support on side and fucking hell, did he need to do that given that plenty of the fans didn't want him in the first place. The crowds are already noticeably down and chairman has a habit of coming out in the local media every now and again to tell us the support we get isn't good enough, well Dave, perhaps you should start questioning your decision making instead of the fanbase. Watching us against Colchester the other week try and combat the fact we were playing with ten men by sitting on the edge of our own box for 70 mins and inviting wave after wave of attack well, you just can't believe the manager thinks that it's a good idea. We look terrible defensively, with Cook we couldn't defend corners but with Saunders we can't defend full stop. On paper the signing of Ebanks-Blake looked a good one if we could get him out on the pitch but so far.......not great but then again Saunders getting us to smash long balls up to a 5 foot something lone striker is hardly making it easier for him. And you have to question the ability of the manger who thought it was a good idea to offer another contract to Gnanduillet, the lad just ins't a footballer.

I said we wouldn't go down that the start of the season even with Saunders in charge, not so confident about that now. The performances are bad, the results are bad and this doesn't have the feeling of just a poor run of form but a manager who is not up to the task. If the results don't improve very, very soon then i'd be urging Dave Allen to cut his loses and make a change before it's too late and the rot has well and truly set in.

Haha, you were absolutely awful and by all accounts the worst side we've played since 2007.

Seeing as you've spent a fair chunk of that time in the Championship and even a season in Prem, that's not too surprising.

But yes, we are a little bit shit.

Even against Barnsley the defence was sliced open far too easily for their goal. Classic false economy from Allen.

We have much to be thankful for to him, but he has made some poor decisions, exacerbated by his faith in Chris Turner's misguided leadership of his business.
