No injury concerns then? Have a feeling you lot are going to go through unfortunately.

Sucks both games are on at the same time!

As far as I know, only Louis Thompson but there are whispers he may be back for the final (if we get there of course). It would be a big fillip if that were the case.

Fods

Stephens N.Thompson Turbull
Toffolo/Randall Luongo Kasim Gladwin Byrne
Smith Obika

Subs : Belford, Swift, Williams, Hylton, Rodgers, Ricketts, Agombar

Is my guess at a line-up. The front two is anyone's guess but I think the rest of the side picks itself

I reckon we'll play one up front for the away game before reverting to two at home.

Actually you are probably right. Obika has played well recently, I think he may start. You could play Gladwin just behind and bring Swift or Rodgers into the midfield.

Can't be arsed for Smith. Happy for him to prove me wrong though.

I'm assuming you put Agombar on the bench for a laugh?

I think Toffolo is also a doubt, and could be on the bench for the first game.

Ticket update on our site says:

Home tickets sold to blades fans 17400
Away tickets sold to blades fans 1150

Piss poor for both yet again from us in the playoffs.

Yeah just a bit and I couldn't think of a proper sub at the time!

That's why I had Toff/Randall in my selection.

In all seriousness, I fancy Swindon's chances in the play offs. Fucking hope I'm wrong!

TBH, what real difference does it make if we go up? Another local game, easy to get to and just think of all that pre match 'banter' x 2!

Now we've got a bit of edge to it, be a shame to shelve it so quickly.

Yeah I think it would be good to play eachother in the Championship. But then it would be funny if you dont go up I spose.

Annoyed these are both on at the same time - could have made two decent nights of these.

Sadly, I think Swindon will go through - both teams are in a shite run of form mind.

0-1 for tomorrow night.

I think Swindon will win the tie tbh.

I really couldn't give a shit but it's Swindon and Thompson so it's 'greasy chip butty' all the way.
Come on the Blades.
At the 2nd leg, Foderingham will rip off his Swindown shirt to reveal his nice shiny new City one. :fish:

I actually think Sheffield United will prosper over the 2 legs.. They seem to do better against the sides that come at them, good counter attacking side.

We always seem to do crap against Sheff United, so come on Swindon.

If I was you I'd be more worried about the 2 games against Chesterfield before I start ruminating on Wembley....

Blades for me over the two legs.
They seem more of a 'knockout competition' type of team.
Also Cooper's tinkering has meant that Swindon are going into the ties on a run of something like 2 wins in nine I believe. Never great for the confidence.

or 4 defeats in 12 , form and stats mean nothing when it comes to the play offs

I think form means everything going into the play offs.
Final league position and overall stats may be meaningless but current form is probably the single most important thing.
In my very humble opinion.

Granted if the team that was playing in those games is the one that is going into the playoffs but to be honest we have not played our strongest team for weeks take Sundays team there will be 1 player from that team that starts tonight

The stats don't back you up on that. Saw a list somewhere that showed numerous PO winners with poor end of season results.

Mind you, the Blades last 5 games have yielded zero wins for them so we must be about evens on that one

Tbf none of the teams in the POs this year are in particularly good form. Even Chesterfield have dropped off a bit recently.

Sadly I fancy United to get past Swindon, neither are in great form but there can also be an argument that Swindon have had a few weeks to prepare themselves for the play offs. Think United will narrowly win at the Lane before getting a spawny draw at the County Ground.
