It's been a breathless past few weeks for Bournemouth, 6 straight league wins with 21 goals scored and 4 conceded. Crazy stats. And it's seen us top the league for the time being, going into a "top of the table clash" with Middlesbrough on Saturday.

Bournemouth - involved in a top of the table clash in the Championship?

For all of those games, oddly enough we've fielded the same starting 11. It's rare these days to see that when most clubs at this level has extensive squads. And despite there being a few players looked knackered at times, Howe has persisted. Well who am I to disagree.

Highlights would be the 3-0 beating of Reading - always a fixture we look out for, and of course the bizare 8-0 win at Birmingham, which was the most surreal couple of hours I've ever witnessed.

So now the massive challenge is trying to stay at this end of the table. So far every side that has hit the top has gone onto a run of poor results for several weeks afterwards. and you have to say Saturday's match is on paper the hardest game we've had since Derby away, which we lost 2-0.

So it'll be a good test of just where we are. Have we just taken advantage of a favourable run of games? Or are we more genuine than that?

Well I have seen all 3 games against us and Bournemouth's performance levels have been very good in all the games.
We got a late point away but you missed a load of chances before we scored.

In the two games at NYS you had improved no end and I really think you will take some stopping.
Yesterday your defense won just about every header and for all our effort we never created a worthwhile chance.
You are very quick on the break and have real goal threat.

Wilson and Ritchie fall over rather easily but I think most sides have players that do the same.
I really hope you go up, it would be great to see a small club get in the Prem.

Great banter when the whites complete a double over the league leaders in midweek. You're still the only team we've beaten away from home this season :tw:

Don't worry Magic because you are playing at Reading on the 10th February and the only team we have beaten in the league in the last 2 months are Norwich. There is Leeds second away win of the season.

So far we've kept up a high level more consistently than I thought. It's got to be tough to maintain our million miles an hour style of play, we've rotated a lot in cup games and even the odd league game, just to try and keep legs going.

The fact is we won't be able to sustain our style of play the whole season, the deciding factor is going to be how we can cope when we're not quite firing on all cylinders.

I can see ourselves and Ipswich falling away into the playoffs with Derby and Boro getting automatic at the moment, they just seem more likely at grinding through which is what this division is all about. Ipswich can certainly grind, but those two are just a bit better, for me. And we are definitely still a bit soft on occasion.
