Obviously not, but Carroll was significantly worse. A complete embarrassment for £35 million who was correctly shipped off as soon as possible. Ozil still has plenty of time on his hands and has already achieved more than Carroll did at Liverpool. He has scored more goals (playing out of his favoured CAM role) as an attacking midfielder in less games at Arsenal, obviously has a tonne more assists. He's won a trophy as well.

He hasn't lived up to the expectations, but at least he has a track record in which you could argue he was worth the moolah. Carroll didn't even have close to that, it was a baffling purchase from a desperate side.

And yes, Di Maria lolololol, etc, etc. Again, like Ozil, proven track record of world class performance.

Costa, Hazard, Sanchez, Kane, De Gea, and Coutinho.

Hazard is the clear winner. I expect Kane to take YPOTY. Costa and Sanchez will likely compete for 2nd in the voting. No clue how Coutinho is nominated—he has some brilliant skills but he's inconsistent and inefficient. Sterling and Henderson from his own side deserve it before he does. Fabregas, Aguero, Terry, Silva, Cazorla, Gylfi, and the entire Southampton backline can all feel aggrieved.

As I said as the season has progressed Coutinho has hit some great form while for about the last four months, Fabregas has went AWOL as usual.
