Early kick off this week on Sky - traditionally we haven't done too well in front of the cameras, but the last couple of seasons they have been very kind to us with important results (vs Leyton Orient, vs Fulham).

This will probably be our hardest home game of the season, really not sure what to expect. We have looked much better defensively of late (though we have been indebted to our keeper Button with a couple of stunning saves), and were be all rights very good in an attacking sense against Norwich. Desperately need to start taking more of our chances, really hope another forward is brought in this month (not to replace Gray, but take the pressure off him).

If we concede first, I think we will find it difficult to come back into it. If we score first, then I can see us taking a very important 3 points. Hopefully we can keep it tight early on, but can see this going in a similar fashion to the Ipswich game.

Team as follows:

Button

Odubajo Dean Tarkowski Bidwell

Jota Diagouraga Douglas Judge Pritchard

Gray

Also looking forward to seeing Forshaw back at the club, shame we couldn't have been the ones to sign him

Agree with you Magpie that this is our toughest home game. We haven't had a draw since mid October and I would probably take one here. A win would be amazing though.

FFS. So many games this season we've not taken our chances despite dominating, and we give the opposition a goal with a stupid mistake.

Middlesbrough have just got that extra bit of quality. Can see them nicking a 2nd going into the last quarter.

Don't know how we didn't win that, let alone how we managed to lose it! Same story with us where we dominate but miss all our chances (Norwich, Bournemouth, etc).

Boro looked quite ordinary to me. Played quite well in the second half though, slowed down the game at every chance, and restricted us to almost no chances in the last 15 minutes. Did reasonably well on the counter as well.

If we can get another striker in before the window closes, would be very happy. Pritchard had a great game, hopefully we get to keep him till the end of the season.

Didn't think you did enough to win it. Also thought Boro had the better quality chances. Draw would have been fair, but Boro were better tactically and had a better final ball.

Only in the second half once they had the lead. Had nothing in the first and we created a number of quality chances.

Once we had to chase the game, they were able to take advantage of the spaces that created, before then they couldn't touch us.

Defensive errors cost us again.

Extremely frustrating to lose that, a complete gift of a goal completely changed the complexion of the game and allowed Boro to just sit back and break on us in the second half. Once again we don't take our chances and it has cost us. Would have have taken a draw before kick off but that could have easily been a win today.

First half was massively underwhelmed by Boro, did not look like a promotion chasing side, appreciate you are entitled an off day but fully in mpmbee's corner here.

Derby weren't much to look at when they played us at Griffin Park but like Boro the rest of their season says otherwise. I think it's just our style of play, we're up and at em regardless of who we play and Griffin Park is a small pitch with not a lot of room to move in.
