Founder of the original supporters trust, at Northampton, and first leader of Supporters Direct sadly died earlier today. An inspirational, visionary yet very modest man, he'll be missed by anyone who was ever fortunate enough to meet him. We're indebted to him for the advice and support he gave us and I'm sure that applies to several other clubs. A couple of years old but an excellent summary of his achievements here: http://www.sportingintelligence.com...a-supporter-pioneer-ahead-of-his-time-150401/

As a Northampton Town fan, it is where it all started for Brian. It is horrible to think that the club he played a massive part in saving is on it's knees.
Brian was the man behind the start of a powerful movement and he has left a superb legacy.

I just hope as Cobblers fans we can pay the ultimate tribute and follow his lead and fight to save NTFC in it's current form. I was fortunate enough to meet Brian on many times and we have lost a great gentleman.

A true legend. Most won't know of him, but the work he did at so many clubs around the country is awe-inspiring. Was scheduled to come to our game against Stevenage last weekend but was sadly too ill to make it. Nice seeing the tributes come in for all around the country, makes you realise just how much he did for so many sets of fans.

RIP Brian.
