Was told by someone tonight that Grants already got a new club for next season so I'm already dreading it, gonna have even less fight than we do now and that's a scary thought.

SD: "We always want to win games but we have to be realistic when we come to teams like Bristol City." #CreweAlex

When you have your own manager saying that it's no wonder the players weren't arsed about tonight. Shambles. Did we even have a shot on target?

It's alright steve I mean 81 people haven't just spent time, money and effort getting there but oh yes of course we have to be realistic.

Sounds exactly like something Sean O'driscoll would say 12-16 months back with City. There was always a reason or an excuse to his mind boggling game plan.

Good luck Crewe! All the best with your fight for survival.

Even Rochdale had a go at Ashton Gate.

I can't believe the majority of our fans want Davis in a job still, get with the times, it's 2015 not 2012 and we're absolute dogshit. Same players make the same mistakes and never get taken out of the team.

With respect TN1, 'Dale are streets ahead of you on the respective performances at the Gate. You really were shocking!

Oh don't I know it. But Davis always plays the budget card in these situations and yet Rochdale who probably have the lowest budget in this division play a great brand of football and give it their all in every game.

Not sure what that was other than a glorified training session played at walking pace. Crewe were the worst team here this season, I mean Alan Tate centre mid, fucking hell.

For all his qualities and achievements, I don't know what planet Cotterill is on re JET and Agard. Any one would think the latter set the former up for a tap in the way he described the goal.

Finally, ol Richard Scudamore loves a Tuesday night game down the Gate, third one in a row I've seen him.

Those comments from Davis nothing short of a disgrace. Which other club shrugs at heavy defeats against opposition in the same league like that?

A team you have already beaten once. If that was a City Manager, there would be serious dissent.
It sounds like you may as well not have bothered coming down TBH. Luckily for you, we didn't put our foot down tonight WTGR.
As for JET, I think it's totally wrong but I would bet he doesn't start on Sunday.

I thought the Peterborough game was comfortable but that was something else.

Amazed just how deep Crewe were playing from the off. I can understand looking to come and keep it tight but we were able to walk right up to their penalty box before any pressure was put on the ball. And then there was panic every time we had a set piece. 2-0 at the break and it could've been 5 if not for some outstanding saves from Garratt. Then we could just take a breather second half ready for Wembley.

Took along a couple of mates from uni who hadn't been before and they were very impressed with Pack and Ayling especially, but hard for anyone to really stand out when it was such a one-sided game. Glad to see JET start, and even though it wasn't quite coming off for him today there was still his customary moment of genius at the end.

We march onwards.

*Rachubka

Garratt would have let no ball past him.

Rachubka was scared to leave his line but did pull off a few decent saves.

By the way, whoever the new commentator / interviewer was on Radio Bristol sounded excellent.

Plenty picked up on that on OTIB as well, was he just a stand-in, or is it a permanent thing?

Enjoyed it tonight, made missing my first home game not quite as painful as it usually is listening to Richard Hoskins and such.

That was a hammering in all but the scoreline - Crewe lucky not to be hit for 5 again.

JET amazing goal. For me he is so much better than Agard - must start at Wembley.

And the 80 odd Crewe fans - incredible effort to go to that.

Got a strange sense of foreboding about tomorrow night - may have to have a few more ciders before than usual... Cotts acknowledged the effects of fatigue for the first time today (to my knowledge) therefore expect JET to have more of a role and maybe at least a couple more changes.

Well, I needn't have worried... Still, got cidered up though. Thought the Crewe fans who came were absolutely heroes for sticking through that.

Pathetic, yet again. Though, when your manager gives that sort of post match interview, such a gutless display becomes quite easy to understand.

My fellow Crewe fans have succinctly summed up my fury at Davis. I expected to lose tonight. I expected to get dominated, as my prediction showed. But what I can't accept it the lack of effort. We simply didn't look arsed at any point tonight. Made it so easy for Bristol City. I am embarrassed. I was embarrassed to sit there and watch my team capitulate. I was embarrassed to walk away from the ground, I had to make sure my away colours were covered up. I am embarrassed going on twitter. I am embarrassed coming on here. But what are Davis's thoughts? "We have to be realistic". Oh right, ok, cheers Steve. Next time you are going to concede defeat before a game kicks off, let me know in advance so I don't waste £60 going to the game!

What is most baffling about this team is that I know they are better than what we've shown in the last 2 games. How do I know this?

How about this:

Crewe 1-0 Bristol City, Crewe 1-1 Preston, Crewe 0-0 Swindon.

How about our home record since late September: Won 7, drew 4, lost 2. Conceded 10, 5 of those in 1 game. 4 straight clean sheets at home to this point. MK Dons were the last team to score at Gresty Road at the end of January. But since that game, we have let in 18 on our travels.

At home, we have gotten results against the 3 best teams in the league and let in 1 goal in the process. Away from home against them, we have let in 10 and it could easily have been 20. This is what annoys me the most. We have competed in the home games, but rolled over and had our bellies tickled in the away games. At home since losing to Notts C, we have(bar the MK Dons game) a real resilience about us. But away from home in that time, we've blown leads against Yeovil, Crawley and Doncaster to get just 2 points. Gave up draws against Scunny and Notts C to lose.

Away from home, the spines of the players, the bottle of the manager and the optimism of the fans disappears. Davis is staking everything on us winning our home games. Could massively blow up in his face.

Cotterill confirms it was Wilbraham's goal not Flint.

Flinty disagrees!

As said that was comfortable as you can get. We kept the ball with ease and passed round for fun. Tbf to Crewe they did try and play football but they were just not very good. Pack and Smith ran the midfield ( again) and ayling had another good game.

Must be just me but i didn't think JET was that great tonight. Thought he was coming to deep at times only to pass the ball back a couple yards, but his goal was brilliant to watch! Don't get the stick, regard to Agard!

Nearly there!

What a spineless bunch of inept wankers our side actually are. Those goals are comical yet sadly this is an all too common occurrence.

But you know, in 12 months time Davis will still be here, we'll still have the same defenders making the same mistakes, we'll still set up negatively, we'll be in a relegation scrap in whatever division we're in, but the board and the majority of fans who still think it's 2012 won't care one bit and will back the manager and his repetitive bullshit.
