Thank God for that! We did dip a bit 2nd half (there may be a point to what they were saying in that we put so much energy and intensity in at the start we suffer for it at the end) but Korey showed how much we missed him in the last couple of games and in the end we looked more like getting a 3rd than conceding.

Onwards and upwards!

Much more like last season. Great football, gained a lead and took hold of the game. Then sat back but for the most part looked very well organised and structured. Bennett put in a really good shift on his debut, Freeman looking more like what we had last season, Williams did really well in a difficult situation.

Wilbs was knackered by the end but can't criticise the bloke after scoring two. Well... maybe he should have got a hat-trick!

Happy days tonight. :)

Well done City.

Cotterill's post match interview, he's told us Wilbraham is 36 about 20 times.

Not sure whether we played well or whether Forest's reserves are just really shit.

Freeman MOM? Lol Reid to start next game after creating more than the former within a minute of coming on.

Flint and Baker superb as were both wing backs and Mr Smith bossing the middle.

Hopefully we can progress from here.

Baker was excellent as well tonight, proving a very good signing

I was concerned that he wouldn't fit into the 3-5-2 system after watching the Birmingham game but he's adapted really well since. Certainly pose a threat with him and Flint at set pieces, too.

That's the best we've played this season. Freeman back on form was a massive relief. Bennett was very impressive on debut and for me has already shown he'll be far more effective down there than Little/Ayling. Fair play to Wilbs for the brace but I'm slightly irritated I'm not here congratulating him on a hat trick! Credit to De Vries..

Wasn't much better than other performances that, but we got our just deserves.

Came hot out of the blocks as we have done for the majority of this season, but this time took our chances early on with two very clinical finishes from Wilbs, second one especially - cracking header. We were working the width well and exploiting the areas where they were most vulnerable.

Freeman was superb, that was more like it from him, he looked like the player last season that we've grown to love. Korey Smith was excellent - he was my MOTM, broke up play well, kept things simple, was good foil for pack, and made some crucial blocks near the end. Bennett was solid on debut - did well for the first goal and seems to have settled in well. Wilbraham took his goals well - 4 for the season now, fair play to him. Still love the bloke, even if he isn't what he once was.

Credit to De Vries for keeping the score at 2 mind - made some blinding saves! Notably from Wilbraham (double save) but another down to his left from Kodjia, he was very impressive.

I'm going to bed happy tonight, and eager to see the other results come in tomorrow.

Played City.

Sorry to hear things aren't good Jack. You take care mate.
As for the game, I was surprised at Forest. Their 15 looked lively, De Vries was superb and 10 looks a classy player. Apart from that, injuries accepted, they looked a very ordinary side.
For us, I thought Baker and Flint were very good as was Williams at LWB. I can understand the logic of playing him instead of JB as we looked alot more solid and the attacking intent will come, I'm sure. The midfield 3 did well and I will give a special mention to Marlon again who I thought had a great game (after I slagged him off a few weeks ago). I think Freeman needs Korey alongside him to play his natural game and we have missed him. Both were excellent.
Now on to Wilbs. I appreciate he's getting on a bit but after the OTIB calls for him to be dropped, I tip my hat to the bloke, well played fella.
Good performance from our boys and it should do our confidence the world of good.

Forgot to mention - did anyone see Johnson lauding it up infront of the South Stand at the end? Absolute legend.

The mighty Rams!!!
Didn't think much to DeVries double save. Poor finishing where Wilbrahan should have buried both. If hed have score where he placed it I would be saying poor keeping.

Agreed. The second effort was just a feeble effort straight in to his hands. The header straight at him.

No keeper should let either of those in.

Brilliant

Johnson was great value. Kept peeling away from the camera to bounce with the City fans! Legend.
