Cardiff- Marshall, Peltier, Manga, Morrison, Fabio, Ralls, Noone, Kennedy, Gunnarsson, Doyle, Mason.

Blackpool- Parish, Maher, Clarke, Addison, Dunne, Cubero Loria, Perkins, O'Hara, Osavi-Samuel, Madine, Cameron.

Cardiff faced Blackpool aiming to collect their second home win in their last ten matches. However already relegated Blackpool hadn't won away all season, and with this being their last game on the road, they needed to end that streak now. The Tangerine fans didn't come in numbers, but made up for that in noise, often broadcasting their beliefs about owner Karl Oysten.

Cardiff started the brightest but failed to really test Parish with a number of early shots that lacked any conviction. However in the 19th minute, they did open the scoring. Neat build up play down the right of the pitch saw Eoin Doyle get released down the wing, his cross picked out Mason who after having his first shot blocked, put the rebound into the bottom left corner. Blackpool the started to get stuck into the match, with a decent cross from Dunne that picked out Madine, but his header fell just wide of the upright. That's all Blackpool really offered in the first half as City then regained control of the match. Fabio made a charging run down the left wing, beat his marker and planted his cross onto the crossbar to be denied his first City goal, before being cleared away by the Blackpool defense. It didn't stay 1-0 for long though, as Fabio again beating his marker, playing a ball towards Gunnarsson who was wiped out before he could control it, and a penalty was given. Normal set-piece taker Peter Whittingham was out injured today, so Doyle stepped up and set Parish the wrong way to give the Bluebirds a two goal cushion.

Blackpool brought on Orlandi and Telford at half time, and it was Orlandi that brought Blackpool back into the game. He took control of the ball on the edge of the box, before curling the ball past Marshall to half the deficit. Clarke then had a shot cleared off the line by Morrison as Blackpool searched for an equalizer. But they were punished for sending men forward when Mason was sent through on goal before Addison brought him down inside the box for City's second penalty. Pilkington who'd only come on moments before wanted the penalty, but Doyle stole the ball and coolly converted his second spot kick of the game. City switched off at the end of the game and Clarke punished them, heading home from O'Hara's cross to end the game at 3-2.

Cardiff will face Nottingham Forest in the last game of a disappointing campaign after being favorites for promotion at the start of the season, finishing the highest of 10th is not what they had planned. Blackpool will finish at home to Huddersfield and will no doubt protest against the owner for their last game in the Championship.

Also if were being pedantic can you not put it in the match day section with every other game? Cardiff vs Blackpool isn't exactly special that it's deserving of a thread in the wrong sub forum.
