Well for us we really need to end this winless run. With a very tough away game at Doncaster coming up we need 3 points here to soften the blow of our first defeat of the season which I think will come at Doncaster on Tuesday. We don't want 3 without a win to become 4 then 5 and so on, because suddenly a reasonable start will become a dreadful 2 wins from 10 start.

I want us to revert back to the 4-2-3-1 formation and STICK WITH IT beyond half time.

Gillespie
Miller Brisley Raynes Grainger
Joyce Jones
Lambe Devitt Adams
Wyke

The BIG one (no, not Akinfenwa)..

I agree, really could do with a win after 3 straight draws. Doncaster will be a very tough test, as will Colchester next weekend, just makes this game more significant.

Curle should go 4-2-3-1 for me too, we've dominated the home games up until half time, only for a change or two at half time. I'd go with your team, but possibly Kennedy in for Joyce. Definitely need powerful central defenders to match Wycombe's usual antics, so I'd drop Gillesphey.

I've not been following Wycombe, but how is Akinfenwa doing? Worth the money?

We're playing well and confidence is very high, BUT we are beatable, we outplayed Crewe the other week and lost, so it's not set in stone.

Started a few games when we had more players out injured but is mainly a sub now,he has scored a goal though
A very well-paid sub I suspect. I was amazed at Wembley when he was warming up just how slow motion his 'sprinting' was, I guess he has not now sped up?

We don't pay anyone very well mate and i doubt he is out top earner. He has a company away from football which is probably why he signed for us just to keep playing.

I would rather tread barefoot in a fresh dog turd but thanks for the offer.
But this would be different. You can go there, see him face to face and look him in the eye knowing that he is on that side of the table and you're on the side that is free to leave and go where the air is crisp. He can call you all the names under the sun, but ultimately he's the one being locked up in a cell every night.

This could be the closure you need.

back in League One when Bayo played for Gillingham I saw him up close for the first time... he came on as a sub, slow-jogged around the pitch for a bit, then fell on James Berrett.

This is why Berrett is now a shadow of the player he was then and playing for Grimsby instead of Man City.

The first time I seen Bayo was at the Millennium Stadium in 2006. He scored the winner for Swansea against us. He didn't seem as massive then, but he probably was as I was sitting about a mile up.

Oh I was there, I just wasn't aware of the magnitude, or indeed circumference of the (to me at that time) anonymous Swansea player who scored their winner, though I do remember (the much less anonymous) Lee Trundle as scorer of the first.

Well he fell on Peter Hartley and he's now playing a league higher. Though I doubt there is a correlation.

Is this Carver thing true? I'd go mad if I were him, though apparently, the situation nowadays isn't as glum as it was only a couple of decades ago. But still, what can one do to keep oneself occupied all the time?

That Trundle goal was a cracker as well...We certainly gave them a game that day though...

Pity HMP Slade closed really - much handier. Don't see Carver having much time for crosswords.

I think if we don't win tomorrow, the realisation will kick in with a lot of our fans that we're actually not really that good and probably are destined for another season of mid table mediocrity.

Mowgli, still not forgiven your lads for not beating Blackpool last week !! Your manager doing a great job and there must be plenty of optimism around for the season. You will win this game
