Sky have announced that 30 games plus the play offs with be broadcast live and the remainder will be streamed at least on iFollow, with season ticket holders given free access.

The turnaround in my opinion is way too quick - I can't help but agree with QPHa that the players only given 3 weeks contact training and no friendly games (apart from internal matches) is going to cause a lot of injury and will unfavourably hinder the smaller clubs with smaller squads, especially now that teams are allowed 9 players on the bench and 5 changes a game. To add insult to these injuries, the last game of the season will be staggered midweek 21-22 Jun. So 9 games played in just over a month! The Championship play off final played around 10 days after.

Personally, with the long break and all of these changes, I seriously question the integrity of this season.

Kick off times
Friday: 6pm and 8pm
Saturday: 12.30pm, 3pm and 5.30pm
Sunday: 12pm
Tuesday: 5pm(!), 6pm and 8pm
Wednesday: 5pm, 6pm and 8pm

Some good times for those who are furloughed... not those who are still working!

Feels too quick but with the contract situations of players I guess it needs to be done before the end of July?

Think fitness levels are going to be hugely important in these games more so than normal. Hope the players have been keeping in shape - we’ve struggled with the Intensity of the 3 game weeks all season, I guess this could help us level that mismatch, or alternatively we could be proportionally worse off! Who knows but will be interesting.

Questions about the integrity of the season are pretty much moot at this point given the long break, at least we are playing and it will be decided on the pitch.

Fixtures released earlier - in the same order as before, so we start off against Preston, Swansea and Leeds in the first 2.5 weeks.

I'm baffled by our 5pm kick off against Derby on a Wednesday.

What will happen is that there will be a lot of goals, a lot of fearless football and a lot of surprises in the next few weeks.

To my knowledge, by next Monday clubs need to announce which players will be staying on past 30th June.

I see Hull and Boro have now joined Charlton in not having some players available for the last 9 games, Hull losing 4 and also Barnsley not allowing Wilks to play either. Definitely helps us out, we’ve got an opportunity to get out of this.

Things seem to be aligning for us off the pitch, just hope we don’t end up cut adrift as our first 3 games back are tough looking.

Beat Preston on Saturday and we could have some momentum and belief.

Fully fit on Saturday bar Moult, who probably won't even be back if we reach the play-offs.

Hopefully we can see some of Tom Bayliss during this run in, Neil said he was about to get his chance in the first team squad until he got injured. Didn't realise how big our squad was until I tried to pick a nine man bench.

I'd start with.

Rudd
Fisher, Bauer, Davies, Hughes
Pearson, Browne
Maguire, Johnson, Sinclair
Barkhuizen

Scott Sinclair looked like he was really struggling for match sharpness when he first arrived, should be on an even footing with the rest of the division now. Bagged in our 1-1 draw with Burnley on Saturday.

Hull City have lost five players after failing to agree short term deals past 30th June. It's perhaps harsh that the world is concentrating on Lyle Taylor's refusal to play when there are other footballers in the same position either not signing or being laid off.

Jackson Irvine, Eric Lichaj, Stephen Kingsley and Marcus Maddison will not return to playing. That is going to leave a huge hole. Malik Wilks will also only play the first two games after Barnsley (understandably) will not let them play for a relegation rival.

Daniel Ayala is also in the same boat at Middlesbrough.

We couldn't afford Irvine but i'd have a look at either of those fullbacks leaving Hull.

Maddison can head back to League One.

Seems like we aren’t quite fully strength for the weekend with Jones saying today that some will miss out.

Judging from the line ups from the friendly we could be missing some quite important players like Pelly, Pearson and Bradley who I don’t think played.

He was also a bit coy about the contract situation of some as well although named no names.

Does anyone know what the protocols actually are for those who have tested positive?

If a team has 5-6 players who test positive - that is a huge hole. It would make a mockery of the competition. Is there any scope for postponements (I guess not).

Seems like they have to isolate but the rest of the squad don't.

Might change when the games start.

I have a feeling we'll go with the following team today (although I'm sure for coronavirus and fitness reasons, it'll be different)...

GK Simon Sluga
RB Peter Kioso

CM Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu
CM Andrew Shinnie
AM Izzy Brown
CF James Collins
CF Harry Cornick

Subs: James Shea, Martin Crainie, Ryan Tunnicliffe, Matty Pearson, Callum McManaman, Luke Berry, Danny Hylton, George Moncur, Kazenga LuaLua
Not Involved: Elliot Lee, Jacob Butterfield, Harry Isted, Josh Neufville, James Bree
Injured: Brendan Galloway, Eunan O'Kane
Potentially Released: Jake Jervis, Lloyd Jones, Marek Stech, Donvervon Daniels, Frankie Musonda

Both sides looking very rusty so far. When ifollow finally managed to sort it out we were very much penned into our half but have grown into the game as it’s gone on.

Can’t really see a goal for us though as we’ve not really created anything.

Carter-Vickers looking nice and calm at the back but Pearson is giving me fits everytime he is around the ball. Think a mistake from either side will win this

Results not really going for us so far unfortunately

And there’s the mistake from us costing the goal. Poor from Cranie and Pearson getting caught out there

Properly poor game, both sides incredibly rusty and decided by a mistake by Cranie. Good finish by Sinclair but an avoidable goal.

Afraid to say we just aren’t up to the level, didn’t even have a shot I don’t think. Can’t even take a set piece properly. Not a hope in hells chance we are staying up especially with the other bottom sides showing at least some level of competency

Ha and my stream dies and I miss our one shot and goal! Had a mare

Preston will feel aggrieved, because Luton did nothing in the first 80 minutes. Not even a shot on target. Jones has said post match that they were no where near the level in terms of fluency, but when they've only had 1 game against Brentford B and nothing else in the build up, it's kind of expected.

Then we go on the break and McManaman who only came on a few minutes before, slots one in the top corner from 20 yards out. If the game went on for another 5-10 minutes we would've pulled out a completely ridiculous win.

Preston were certainly the better side, but they weren't fantastic by any means.

Decent enough result, on to two really difficult away games at Swansea and Leeds.

Controlled the game but looked to see out a 1-0 lead as soon as we went ahead and got punished by a good strike from distance. Standard, only ourselves to blame.

Not investing in a proper front man and only bringing in a past it, former striker to improve our attack showed once again.

On another note, iFollow failed completely for everyone for the first 15 minutes of the game. It's not like the EFL haven't had time to sort this out!

I tested it at around 2pm and then switched it off after 10 minutes rather than overloading the bandwith. Tried again at 2:30 and it's fucked. Not good enough.

I did similar tested it out and then came back to it. They clearly had an issue with the amount of traffic they were getting in the 30 mins before the game. Clearly haven't load tested there platform before as that would have flushed out issues like that easily.

They did manage to get it sorted after a little bit and only missed about 10 minutes. Ive worked at and been a part of similar issues, that would be messing around for a few hours before fixing that kind of issue!
