Chris Powell returns.

Going to be quite an afternoon. He'll get a fantastic reception no doubt, infront of a nearly sold out Valley after our annual football for a fiver initiative.

I only hope our fans don't make him and his team feel too welcomed and comfortable as this is a very winnable game and if other games go our way, we could end up 11 points above the drop, an important afternoon.

Having seen a lot of away performances under Chris Powell, I would suspect we'll see a lot of the ball, we will have to be clinical when the chances come and not get sucker punched.

I'm torn, my head says Powell will no doubt get a good win to stick it to our owners but my heart is saying we will get the three points.

1-0 home win.

It would send an interesting message to your owner if you sang Chris Powell's name for 90 mins. Probably respond by sacking Luzon and hiring Standard Leige's under 14's teams waterboy :dk:

There is talk of a minute applause on the 3rd minute, a sentiment I completely disagree with if I'm honest.

There's plenty of ways of getting messages across to the board (the owner is never in the country to watch games) and I'm all for showing appreciation to Powell after and possibly before the game but as far as I'm concerned, during those 90 minutes, he is the opposition trying to beat us, I don't think it's fair on our own players, we should be showing support for them and not the opposing manager.

With 200 appearances, and a 100+ point season he's always going to get a massive welcome. Even though things weren't going well towards the end, absence makes the heart grow fonder.

You're right about his away tactics, but it's been working really well recently, with wins at Wigan and Millwall, and a draw at Bournemouth. I'd happily take a point here. I think Powell would too.

I have no qualms with him being applauded, just not during the game and I'm not having a pop at his away tactics, they worked an absolute charm for us in our first season back in the Championship.

Powell will get the appreciation he deserves , 4 spells with the club including one as manager, I just don't agree with singing his name during the game when it is the players that need our support.

Well that was as comfortable a home win you will see.

Don't let the stats fool you, Huddersfield had a couple of good chances but in reality this could have finished 4 or 5 nil.

This turn around has been nothing short of extraordinary, Tony Watt has been a breath of fresh air, he and Vetokele caused problems the entire afternoon and his second goal was one of sheer class, Gudmundsson's free kick wasn't too shabby either.

Chris Powell got the reception he deserved and although I didn't like the idea of the applause during the game originally, it was quite a nice moment but I'm just glad we then went on to win the game.

We have a March full of very winnable games, would be nice to go on a run and end the season strongly.
