Big game for us tomorrow. We are starting to improve under Lester slowly but surely but we have taken 2 points in the last 3 games where we should arguably have had 7 or 9 due to conceding silly goals in all 3 games v Cambridge, Carlisle and Swindon.

We've got to turn a improved performance into 3 points with 2 home games in 3 days, we really need 4 points to bring us back in touch.

I still fully believe it will click for Jack before Christmas but we need to get a win on the board at home.

Going for an optimistic 2-1 win infront of 4600.

We have to win to stand a chance of getting back to the top of the table. Hopefully we are well up for it tomorrow.
Macalinden and Stockley will give every defender in this league a hard time, just hope they convert the chances they make.

Got back to winning ways last week against Grimsby. McAlinden scored a lovely goal and it sounded like he played well so I expect him to line up again with Stockley up front. I think I'd line up with the same team even if Lloyd James is fit enough, even though I'm not convinced with Moxey playing in the midfield. Chesterfield almost got a win last week and it sounds as if they've been playing better recently, hopefully we will be strong enough to win but not overly confident.

Very disappointing performance. Not many chances and not taking the ones we get.

Change of formation but only 15 minutes and we don't look like scoring. :(

Hit the bar and a stone wall late on? Still, probably too little too late.

That's an important result. After late equalisers recently it's good that we held on this time, might breed some confidence. We're playing ok

Don't know what we'd do without Dennis tho! We can't sell him in Jan if we want to stay up

Exeter are the best side I've seen this season.

For ten, maybe fifteen minutes in the first half they played with a fluency and confidence befitting their lofty position.

However they encountered an outfit playing with a fluency and confidence unbefitting their lowly position.

Make no mistake: this wasn't a case of a shite team adopting Dunkirk-esque tactics and pinching a win - this was an improving team beating promotion chasers at their own game.

If only Sir Jack Lester had been appointed last January...

PS: huge thanks to the visiting fans joining the minute's applause for a little girl taken far too soon.

Disappointing but I expected Chesterfield to give us a really tough game. I expect they will move away from the bottom pretty quickly and Dennis sounds like a great player.

From the commentary it sounded like an even first half where we had a decent chance from McAlinden but also Chesterfield missed an even better chance.

Second half we sounded poor and once we fell behind it was always going to be tough. Ok so we hit the bar and had a strong penalty shout but we need to be better than that to see us mount any kind of challenge this season.

Well done Chesterfield and we now move onto Crawley this Tuesday which is a game we must improve in.

Got a massive game Tuesday to negotiate first. If we can get 3 points then we will be full of confidence Saturday.

Dennis is on 4 yellows so our luck would be he gets booked Tuesday and misses the game at yours.

As I keep saying we are a Work in progress but getting better and better. I think come Jan we will out of the bottom 2.
