Don't know who that is mate.
Not many do, that's why we managed to keep him in the summer. :D

...and then he got broken. :(

Well we screwed ourselves over there. The sending off was Tommy's fault I think.
Didn't much look like scoring anyway. Have the club sold our dream for 850k? Probably ...

The table suddenly looks a lot better for Preston. Very surprised at this result though, seems no one wants that sixth spot.

Indeed, it was a a cracking cross from Kev and an excellent header from Garner for the first.

Sam Hird, that was just utterly stupid. You don't commit a red card offence like that after 90 seconds, you commit it after 90 minutes to win your side points. Fool. Even worse i then saw our players and half the crowd then harp on about a possible/probable offside like it was going to change anything.

Off to bed with a proper sulk on now, that was one shit evening.

Sorry mate :(

If it's any consolation, if we go up in the top 2 (which we won't) I'd like you to win the play offs :)

PNE were as strong, clinical and professional as I expected. Don't think we'd have won with eleven but we'd have had a far better chance that's for sure.

I didn't complain at the time but the linesman wasn't up with play when the ball was played (he wasn't up with play all night in all honesty) so in reality he had no idea whether it was offside or not. I have to say, I'm getting more than a little bored with the atrocious officials we seem to be seeing week in week out. Saying that, even if the lino gets a decision wrong we still need to defend it properly and Hird was as weak as a kitten, Tommy was his usual indecisive self and we suffered for it. The rest of the game was a massive damp squib with us trying to come back but also being wary of pushing men forwards and Preston trying to pick us off using the extra man in midfield.

Preston's first - Jay O'Shea completely neglects his closing down duty, Davies puts in a belter of a cross and some good movement from Gardner puts them 1-0 up. Preston's second - couldn't see if it was a foul on Tommy but he's piss poor on corners and no surprises, he fails to claim yet again and they score a spawny tap in. Sick and tired of his inability in the air.

All in all, a pretty dire match of football. I'd have been confident of at least a point if not a win with 11 men but it's a huge uphill battle when you're down to 10 straight away.
