Well, need to quickly forget todays non event. Looking forward to my and the entire clubs 2nd visit to the new stadium in Chesterfield, only other visit was the unforgettable 5-5 from 4 years ago. 3-0 up inside 13 minutes, 4-1 up inside 26 minutes. We tore Chesterfield a new one so badly, Ian Breckin had to come off after 30 minutes he was having such a mare. 5-3 with 10 minutes to go and we still collapsed. Still, amazing game to be at. God I miss the days when we looked like we could score 5 against any team if we turned up in the zone.

Could do with making some changes to the team. Whilst he had a shocker from the bench, I would start Colclough over Ajose on the wing, would also start Haber over Uche. Shame Baillie and Tootle aren't fit, could have done with one of them replacing Turton, who is fine in his own half but is far too defensive minded.

Weirdly optimistic for this one. Chesterfield will step out and attack us and hopefully that leaves some gaps in their back line for us to exploit. Their home form is pretty good, but they can concede a few on occasions. Dunno why, but I think this will be an entertaining 2-2 draw.

That 5-5 was horrendous. Did not enjoy it (well, the second half). Happened far too often that sort of collapse and every fan in that away end saw it coming a mile off when it went to 5-3.

I worry about the lack of Grant.

I'd go with a Colclough, Ajose, LDV front three. Uche was terrible today, we need Ajose down the middle to do what he does best. Ajose would have scored today had it not been for Uche's terrible decision making. Colclough and LDV have enough energy and skill to keep the ball up front without Uche's physicality.

Big game for us now of course. Should see a decent home turn out and hopefully a performance to match.

Hopefully no Crewe fans get dropped off on Saltergate like last time.

I sat in a seat for that game(5-5) where I don't normally sit. I have a white coat on, blue baseball cap and a pair of gloves, just to the left hand side and up slightly of the left stanchion(As seen from the camera's position) I can be seen celebrating most of our goals at that end with a double fist pump after jumping up, and appealing our first penalty with typically outstretched arms. I reckon I jump higher than anyone when Craig Clay's equaliser hits the back of the net, followed by quite a gay looking jig!!
Spirederwoman doesn't even get up and celebrate any of our goals such was her interest
Always sticks out as my most famous televised moment watching CFC as I'm normally in the East Stand, but didn't use my ST as the missus wanted to come along.
Picked the perfect game to go and sit behind the goal in the Kop.

Check the highlights out and try and spot me. The highlights of that game are always worth a watch anyway!!! :)

Just sharing that with you all. My 15 minutes of fame.

We seem to have three coaches going. Reckon it'll be about 500-600 because we've only been here once, it's fairly local and it's a bank holiday. Even if we took that many it'd be miraculous given the crap served up to us this season.

Not very optimistic about this one, got a feeling there will be plenty of goals again.

Chesterfield 3-2 Crewe (O'Shea 2, Roberts, LDV, Ness) 7,245 ,(438 Railwaymen)

The problem being Chesterfield fans thought it was some sort of achievement. We actually threw away leads like that every fucking week around that time. Always liked Miller's goal in that game though, classy.

S

Was trying to work out if I was looking at the right person in the highlights...then the equaliser, celebration, that description and I knew it was the right person

Achievement is probably overstating it a tad but how often do yo see your team come back after being 4-1 down in about half an hour?

At 4-1 you're thinking this is going to be 7,8,9, not 5-5. I do remember us hammering you second half though but the ball would just not go in and Lester didn't get our second until there was only about 15 mins left, it just got a bit silly after that.

Craig Clay was awesome that day, came on for Breckin (who wasn't so awesome) for his debut and really helped turn the game, I thought we had found a really decent young player but that didn't quite turn out to be the case.

Just one of those game you'll always remember.

The pissed off Crewe fans that day were the ones who had to walk a mile and a half to the ground and arrived at 4-1 up.

My whinge at how inept we were at seeing out leads when in control of games in Dario's final years seems to have upset a fan of another team.

I apologise and hope we can move on from this unfortunate set of events.

Looking forward to this one.

And don't worry Spireites, cos i'm going to this one with work. I'm employed at a childrens home, and I've been converting one of the lads to being a Spireite. Taken him to two games so far, Fleetwood and Walsall. His record being - 2 wins out of 2, 0 goals conceded.

I'll be sure to take him.

Line up should be-

Lee
Talbot Evatt Hird, Darikwa
Morsy Ryan
Roberts O'Shea Ariyibi
Clucas

Just over 7,000 there.

If you swap the full-backs over (you've presumably done that inadvertently) I'd go with that side.
