So a massive game for both of us. We have a shocking record at Sixfields v Cambridge - think we have not won in 20 years or so!

It will see the return of Chris Dunn to Sixfields - this will mean he will either turn into David de Gea or he will drop a major clanger!

We need to stop playing O'Toole. If Horwood is fit would like to see him at left back with Collins moving back to partner Cresswell. I would drop O'Toole and depending on fitness would play either De Girolamo or Toney in the hole.

We've got a great record at your gaff (similarly you do at The Abbey) but it's going to take more than history and superstition this time.

2-1 Cobblers.

No desire to talk about our prospects on the pitch, any decent pub recommendations? Doesn't seem to be a lot near the ground, weighing up whether we should drive or get the train.

We have been fantastic at home since the new year, Cambridge on a horrific run. I feel very confident we will win 2 or 3-0. Horwood will hopefully be fit enough to start. Agree on O'Toole, I want to like him, but his style and lack of output isn't helping. Drop him for now and hopefully De Girolamo is fit, if not go with Toney from the start.

With regards to pubs near the ground there are none. You have a TGI's or somin crap like that. The club bar welcomes away fans, I would say best of the options would be go to the Walter Tull at the top of the hill, it has good food and is only 2 minute walk.

If we don't win our already small playoff chances will be gone, although I don't think we will make it anyway.

Pub entry is a little bit limited as LordJord says. Although the only place you are barred from is Sixfields Tavern. With Luton it was a blanket ban! Given you have sold out it may mean they do not let you in the club bar as it is tiny!

If you come by train there are a number of good pubs on the way which is about 25 minutes walk.

Surely this should have been "Cobblers v cobblers"? We are shite at the mo.

But I go into each game optimistic we'll pick something up. I don't know why but in the end I kinda think we must win a game, surely? And we only need one win. Just one. Be kind Cobblers. :)

I missed Friday's embarrassment which was probably a good thing but I'll be there for this. Can't wait.

I approach this one with pessimism as great as the weird, illogical and misplaced optimism that appeared on Friday morning. Hopes are limited to a couple of decent pints, minimising damage to our goal difference and moving on to the season climax (Accrington, Cheltenham & Mansfield) with no injuries or red cards.

The Money Meltdown is imminent but let's get one win before it happens.... please. I've no idea who we'll put out but hope for the return of Miller and Ball, with Simpson starting up front again.

All tickets sold. Hope the idiots stay away. There'll be applause and chants for Simon "Dobbo" Dobbins at 41 minutes.

Regardless of our record at northampton I can see nothing other than a home victory, fairly comfortable Id say.

One up at halftime, big big BIG half of football coming up, be interesting to see what side comes out for the 2nd half as we have come out poor more times than I'd have liked.

Long live Sixfields! Fate, I'm sorry I ever doubted you.

And with other results today, we're good as safe now. Time for a

Superb result, excellent performance and should have been more as we missed some sitters. 1 up for 89 minutes was pure torture.

What a contrast, we absolutely deserved that, different team entirely that showed up today. Well done players and management, that should be job done from a staying up perspective, but let's follow it up in the next couple of games now.

Cambridge absolutely deserved that. Conceding the first goal so early meant they could play on the counter and did so to great effect. Mendez Laing caused us a lot of problems with his pacee, also Elliot whilst not a world beater won a large portion of headers against Cresswell, no small feat!

The game kind of summed up what we have known really. We need a target man style striker and a new keeper. Dukes kicking really is awful and we are too lightweight up top without Rico. Thought Cambridge did a really good job of closing down Holmes in particular straight away in pairs. We looked short of ideas and the crowd ended up getting really frustrated at the options chosen by the players.

Hackett, Tozer, Carter, Duke are 4 decent names that I expect to see gone at the end of the season, correctly to as they are on big wages and that money can be used more effectively.

Playoffs gone now IMO, but we have the core to mount a genuine tilt at autos next season. Get Byrom, Taylor and Collins signed up!

That was a major relief. The team were all back on the same page and working together. Nelson found his Mojo again. Individual errors/weaknesses were covered by team mates. Meltdown back to simmer for now.

Glad I decided to maximise away trips this season. Apart from Newport (mid Manure adventure) we haven't delivered at home since Kwesi left to join Ghana. Although play-offs MAY have gone for Cobblers don't be too down. Money and the team have done the same job away at Birmingham, Burton, Southend (and of course nilled Man U) when they were up for it - you just played us on the wrong day.
