Coin throwing seems mild compared to the events seen outside Vauxhall Road after tonight's game. Read below for details...

Hemel Hempstead 1-1 Wealdstone (Att: TBA - looked around 900 or so to me)

Well we were well deserving of a point. Hemel scored early on (again) but we more than matched them for the rest of the game, Jefferson Louis and Luke O'Nien both missed guilt-edged chances to equalise in the first half. Second half we had them on the ropes until Jonathan Wright headed level from a perfect Scott Davies FK. Both teams had chances to win but a draw was a fair result.

Unfortunately events off the field are going to foreshadow tonight's game. First half with no segregation in place Hemel supporters stayed in the only covered end which we were attacking instead of going down the end where they were attacking. Cue 500 or so supporters in one end, 3/5 for Hemel and 2/5 for Wealdstone. A few unsavoury moments but nothing violent. As we were leaving the end at HT to walk to the bar, a few of our supporters stupidly bit to a few comments from Hemel Youth (anywhere from 16-21) and stewards had to get involved to break off a possible bust-up. We all went down the other end for the second half and so there was no animosity. Hemel supporters were let out some 5-10 minutes before us and as we left the ground a massive punch-up occurred on the roundabout outside the ground. Some moron Hemel supporters had waited outside the ground for this trying to jump middle aged blokes who experienced football in the 80s... ugly scenes and you can guess the outcome.

A real shame as it put a dampener on the evening. Yes their stewards were so fucking incompetent (2 sets of supporters in one stand, put a line of stewards half way through) it was unreal and their chairman Dave Boggins admitted to our supporters in the second half that he fucked up but I wanted all the talking points from tonight to be on the football. The supporters I talked to were sound, well reasoned and we unilaterally agreed that a small minority are a blight on both clubs.

Edit: Good to see a few Hemel supporters on their forum agreeing that their hired stewards are a bunch of jobsworths. I agree 100%.

Before I start a new thread needlessly, is there a Conference North thread knocking about somewhere?

You won't have trouble at either game. Bromley will be segregated and the Hemel supporters who go away are fine. 822 was the announced gate at Vauxhall Road last night. Loads of tit for tat on Twitter and the Nomads forum, all a bit sad really.

Bromley will definitely be segregated, but if some of these lot are there then there's potential. We don't have many morons but we do have some, and some will go looking for 'revenge'. Whatever happens, there is definitely potential. If we lose to Hemel then can't see us taking many more than 300 there tbf, but I'd like to think we can push for 4-500 (possibly more).

Hemel fans were fine when we were at their place tbf.

Bromley visit GGL on Saturday. The good residents of West Sutton are taking neccesary precautions, boarding up homes and hiring water cannons.

In other news there's going to be a meet other manager/chairman event after the game Saturday where 3 new exciting developments will be announced

Wow. Didn't realise just how many injuries we have...

14 players currently out injured. Three players on the bench on Tuesday were 35 or over. Matt Johnson was on the bench despite being injured. No attacking players on the bench.

Michael West and Matt Godden haven't began full training yet, Aiden Palmer had his first proper training session back yesterday. Not looking good for us. Day is talking about more signings due to our ever growing injury list. Tyrone Marsh the latest, he done his hamstring prior to our game with Bromley.

Aberstone, just wondering what the feeling at the Stones has been due to the rise of 'the raider' obviously put the club in the spotlight. Do you know the guy personally? Does he get mobbed at games??

Any publicity is good publicity. Sure it's quite tiresome being associated with the Raider and nothing else that is unique about the club but hey, I guess Joe Bloggs isn't going to know about us winning the Conference/being one of the first fan owned teams in the UK/players who have started their careers here.

I don't know him personally and had never seen him at a Stones game before the footage was filmed at Whitehawk. He disappeared into the wilderness only to re-appear at a game at Carshalton some 6 weeks later, to date that game is the only time I've had a conversation with him. Working on Saturdays severely restricts the number of home and away games I can do but when he is there (part-time fan) yes he is often mobbed - players, supporters and officials all want to get a photo with him.

I'm still amazed/impressed he's still doing the nightclub scene.

Not quite free entry but we're doing an offer for our home game on March 7th vs. Bishop's Stortford. HA4 residents will get admission for half-price.

Local game at St. Albans tomorrow, only 15 minutes on the train for me and yet I'm missing it due to circumstances at work. Bah humbug. I'll cry if Michael Malcolm scores against us.

Malcolm managed to score against Maidenhead despite not being able to hit a barn door with a banjo (or whatever the expression is) whilst with Maidenhead United.

St. Albans City 1-3 Wealdstone (Att: 877)

Michael Malcolm didn't score and subsequently my face is as dry as the Sahara desert. Jefferson Louis scored a brace to put us 2-0 up (both are cracking goals apparently) before Saints replied almost immediately via a deflected goal. Louis then beat their centre half before setting up on a sixpence for Scott Davies to fire home and wrap up the 3 points. 300 or so travelling fans there today according to those on Twitter, well done everyone. 30 points from our past 15 games, that's play-off form.

Attended Maidenhead vs Whitehawk today which ended 2-0 to the visitors, great to visit the officially oldest continually used ground on the planet. The hawks were comfortably better than the hosts, even more impressed by their travelling fans only around 20 odd but made a right racket all game with a great variety of songs also had a big flag resembling the state of Hong Kong! Really great to see such passion still thriving.

1600 at Ebbsfleet with a thousand free tickets handed out. Thoughts?

You would have to feel pretty confident as a Bromley fan looking at the table as it stands and given recent form. Still dreaming of a Whitehawk/Boreham Wood playoff final.

Beat whipping boys Staines 1-0 on Saturday. Picked up more injuries. Unfortunately I think Bromley will beat us comfortably tomorrow.

Lost 2-1 to Bromley last night, after being 1-0 up with 15 to go.

In other news the club has made 3 major announcements
1) We're creating a youth academy for 16-18 year olds in partnership with local college NESCOT.
2) We planning on installing a 4G pitch at GGL this summer, if the council green lights it (and now that carshalton will be getting their 3G pitch we can't forsee major problems)
3) The club will subsidise the first 1000 season tickets sold, with adults priced at £99 concessions at £75 and kids £10

And of course our game on Saturday is free entry

Thoughts? If you're suggesting only 600 were normal fans then you're wrong.

I'd imagine only 700 or so of those 1,000 of those turned up. We have our core of 8-900 and that will remain. Think we've only dropped below 800 once this season, although I may be wrong. This was about attempting to get the locals interested.

When we're playing as poor as we are, it isn't going to work. But our crowds will improve.

10 points from the play offs. Hmm. My head is saying to forget about reaching the play offs but there's a small part of me believes that it is achievable. A loss on Saturday will leave me feeling it's near on impossible though. Looking forward to Saturday though.

In other Fleet news, our youth team battered Margate 17-0 today. They have now conceded 137 goals in 15 games! We're four clear at the top with league rivals Maidstone and Dover coming up next.

I know Maidenhead have plans to convert York Road to 3G as do Eastbourne. Hypothetically if all these conversions are given permission and take place over the summer, coupled with a Maidstone promotion and Hayes & Yeading surviving the drop then there could be 5 away games next season which take place on a 3G pitch.

Joe - I read Hemel took a respectable amount and made a bit of noise Saturday. Honestly I think you're done, everyone near the top with the exception of Boreham Wood are winning consistently and there's just too much of a gap for Fleet to make up. Hopefully you do go on a bit of a run now, means we'll get a few more paying spectators on Easter Monday.

Yeah, not looking forward to that!

About 50 of them I'd say which I thought was alright. Some other Fleet fans were saying it was about 30-40 while Hemel fans were estimating slightly high with estimates of 100 plus comments of "best fans in the league"

We could barely hear them in the first half and we were only twenty yards to the side. That isn't a criticism by the way, they sung for most of the game. Just weren't very loud.

We probably are done, but I always like to remain ever so slightly optimistic...

Unless I can blag the day off work, I won't be at GV which is a shame. Will try my hardest to get it off though. I imagine the least amount we will have is 100 but if we are doing well and there is still a chance of play offs then it will probably be between 250 and 300. Maybe more.

It'll be great with all these 3G pitches, home advantage everywhere! I kid. It's good that other clubs are taking note though, they are a really terrific income stream for small clubs if done right.

Bromley away tomorrow. Buzzing for this. Spoons about it 10, should be a good one!

Already been assured it's okay if I call in sick at work on Sunday too. ;)

Time for revenge (on the pitch hopefully) after their fans trashed your place?

Doubt it.

The lot who kicked off last time probably won't be there. The genuine Bromley fans are alright. Any trouble would more than likely be on the way back to the station.

Fancy us to win this one though. We're due a winning run...
